Research On The Function Mechanism Of Digital Economy On High-quality Development Of Manufacturing Industry In China

The world economy is undergoing unprecedented change revolution since the new century.With the intensification of international trade protectionism,numerous difficulties have hindered the development of our manufacturing industry.Digital technologies,such as artificial intelligence and 5G,are constantly innovating,and network information platforms are changing quickly.The digital economy has begun to penetrate into all walks of life,promoting the optimization of production and management modes in the manufacturing industry and achieving high-quality development.In this context,this paper attempts to analyze the theoretical influence of digital economy on the high-quality development of China’s manufacturing industry,explore the mechanism of which.On the basis of combing relevant literature,the paper defines the concept scope of digital economy and high-quality development of manufacturing industry.The development index of digital economy is calculated from the aspects of digital infrastructure construction,digital transaction development level and digital technology innovation ability by principal component analysis.The high-quality development index of manufacturing industry is calculated from the dimensions of economic benefit,intelligent development,structural optimization and green development by using entropy method,and the temporal and spatial evolution trends of the two are described and analyzed.By embedding digital economy into the whole manufacturing industry chain,from the perspective of comprehensive effect and structural effect.Besides,it explores the dynamic model and evolution mechanism of how digital economy affect high-quality development of manufacturing industry.On the basis of provincial panel data from 2009 to 2020 in China,the mechanism of digital economy on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry is empirically analyzed by constructing dynamic regression,threshold effect,spatial panel and other econometric models,and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward according to the research results.The study concluded that the level of digital economy and the high-quality development of manufacturing industry in China needs to be increased and the imbalance between regions is serious.Digital economy can boost high-quality development of manufacturing industry,and its enabling effect is affected by the intensity of R&D investment,infrastructure construction and financial development level.With the development of digital economy,its impact on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry has the nonlinear character of marginal increase.In addition,in terms of space,digital economy has spillover effect on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry,and the spillover effect on neighboring areas is stronger,and the influence of digital economy at different development levels is heterogeneous.According to the empirical results,to the empowering effect of digital economy,it is essential to improve the construction of digital infrastructure in manufacturing industry,build digital talent cultivation mechanism,prompt the in-depth convergence of manufacturing industry and digital economy,and coordinate the development of various regions.
