Digital Economy,Innovation Capability,and High Quality Economic Development

At this stage,the global and national economies are still in the stage of recovery after the impact of the epidemic,and the national demand is seriously insufficient.It is urgent to expand domestic demand by accelerating the development of the digital economy,so as to promote high-quality economic development.The Yangtze River Delta has a strong economic foundation and is the vanguard of leading the high-quality economic development.This paper first sorts out and analyzes the relevant literature and economic theories of the research issues,and then puts forward its own theoretical mechanism and research hypothesis.Then,the evaluation index system of digital economy and high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Delta is constructed,and the comprehensive index of each index system is calculated by using the entropy weight TOPSIS method.At the same time,the intermediary variable innovation capability is introduced to study the intermediary role of urban innovation capability in the process of digital economy promoting high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Delta.Finally,based on the panel data of 30 cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2012 to 2019,through benchmark regression analysis,spatial econometric model analysis,intermediary mechanism test,heterogeneity analysis,robustness test and other measurement methods,the relationship between digital economy,innovation ability and high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Delta is studied and analyzed.The research conclusions are as follows.From the evaluation results,the development of digital economy and high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Delta have achieved certain results,but there is still a serious regional imbalance problem.From a regional perspective,the regional differences between the digital economy and high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Delta are narrowing year by year,and the regional differences in the development of digital economy are shrinking faster than high-quality development,indicating that the development of digital economy in the Yangtze River Delta has achieved more remarkable results in recent years.From the perspective of the impact of digital economy on high-quality economic development,the digital economy in the Yangtze River Delta has a significant positive impact on high-quality economic development,and the impact has a spatial spillover effect;Government support,industrial structure and economic growth all have significant positive impacts on the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta region.The impact of advanced industrial structure on high-quality development has a spatial spillover effect,while the level of local marketization has a siphon effect on the high-quality development of neighboring regions;With the increase of scientific research investment,the positive impact of local digital economy on the high-quality development of local and neighboring regions has been significantly enhanced.From the perspective of intermediary mechanism,regional innovation capability has a positive partial intermediary effect in the process of digital economy promoting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta.From the perspective of heterogeneity analysis,the higher the per capita GDP level in the Yangtze River Delta,the weaker the role of digital economy in promoting the high-quality economic development of the local and neighboring regions;The higher the level of urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta,the stronger the role of local digital economy in promoting the high-quality development of neighboring regions;The higher the level of opening up in the Yangtze River Delta,the stronger the role of local digital economy in promoting local high-quality development,and the weaker the role in promoting the high-quality development of neighboring regions.
