In today’s economic context, agricultural development is still facing many external shocks. How to enhance the response capacity of the agricultural economy when facing risks is a very important issue to ensure China’s food security, promote the upgrading of the agricultural industrial structure and achieve China’s agricultural development. As an important component of the whole social system, the development of agriculture is closely related to the progress and development of the whole society. From the perspective of agriculture’s own development, the study of spatial differences in economic resilience among regions can provide a new perspective for the sustainable development of Jiangxi Province’s agricultural economy. It can broaden the research field of economic resilience, promote the free flow of factors between regions or between urban and rural systems, regulate the functional structure of the region itself and enhance the ability to resist external environmental shocks, achieve sustainable development of agricultural economy and build a new pattern of agricultural development. This paper measures the agricultural economic resilience of 11 prefecture-level cities in Jiangxi Province from 2011 to 2020 by constructing an index system, analyzing their spatial differences using the Thiel index method, and analyzing the factors influencing agricultural economic resilience with the help of a geographic probe model. The results show that, firstly, the average value of agricultural economic resilience of each prefecture-level city in Jiangxi Province has been steadily increasing year by year. From the perspective of the divided regions, the agricultural economic resilience of Ganan is the highest, much higher than the average value of agricultural economic resilience in Jiangxi Province, and the agricultural economic resilience of northeast Ganzhou is weaker;by prefecture-level cities,Ganzhou has the highest average value of agricultural economic resilience and Yingtan has the lowest;second,by calculating the Thiel index,it is found that the differences in agricultural economic resilience in Jiangxi Province are mainly caused by inter-regional differences;third, the influence of Jiangxi agricultural economic resilience in Jiangxi has three main factors: agricultural infrastructure construction, government support and regional market size.In addition, the interaction between different factors is a two-factor enhancement relationship and a non-linear enhancement relationship, and there is no attenuated and independent relationship between them.In conclusion this paper puts forward the following policy recommendations: first, uphold the concept of urban-rural integration and sustainable development, and explore regional advantages according to local conditions;second, the government should play a leading role in agricultural development, increase infrastructure construction, and continuously promote agricultural supply-side reform;third, focus on factor structure optimization and quality improvement, improve farmers’ quality, and pay attention to the role of capital factors;fourth, strengthen inter-local and Inter-regional cooperation, sound cooperation mechanism, coordination and common development;fifth, sound mutual assistance mechanism, open the developed areas to less developed areas to help the path.
