A Study On The Difficulties And Countermeasures Of The Elderly Care Institution In The Rural Areas Of Dongtou Wenzhou

According to the Seventh National Population Census Bulletin,the number of people aged 60 and above in China was 264.02 million by the end of 2020,accounting for 18.70%of the total population,which has exceeded the United Nations’ assessment standard for an aging society.The implementation of China’s one-child policy and the continued outflow of young adults from rural areas have led to an increasingly widening gap in elderly care supply in rural areas,making rural elderly care institutional an important part of China’s rural elderly care service system.However,rural elderly care institutional has encountered difficulties in facility construction,management mechanisms,funding guarantee,service teams,and other aspects during its development,which deserves more attention.This paper takes the rural areas of Dongtou District in Wenzhou City as the research object and comprehensively analyzes the current status,policies,challenges,and influencing factors of rural elderly care institutional development through data collection,questionnaire surveys,field interviews,and other research methods,giving corresponding suggestions to promote the development and optimization of the rural elderly care institutional.The paper is divided into six parts.Chapter one is the introduction,discussing the research background and significance,research ideas,and methods adopted.Chapter two is about related concepts and theoretical foundations.Chapter three provides an overview of the current status of rural elderly care institutional in Dongtou District.Chapter four summarizes the development challenges of rural elderly care institutional in Dongtou District through field surveys and data analysis.Chapter five proposes policy recommendations to promote the development of rural elderly care institutional in Dongtou District.Chapter six is the conclusion,summarizing the main content.The study found that the current difficulties in the development of rural elderly care institutional mainly include insufficient government policy support,weak comprehensive service capacity,inadequate social participation,and low willingness of rural elderly people to move in,among other aspects.Based on this,this paper proposes that efforts should be made to establish a multi-party construction mechanism,precise supply mechanism,element guarantee mechanism,and revenue generation and efficiency improvement mechanism to promote high-quality development of rural elderly care institutional in Dongtou District and improve the quality of life of rural elderly people.
