| In the context of the Yunnan Provincial Highway "Fourteen Five" development plan,the road module,as an important part of the comprehensive transport system,is an important carrier to serve the economy,society and the public.Facing the new development requirements,the testing and inspection industry needs to choose the corresponding development strategy.As of 2022,the number of various types of highway engineering grade testing and inspection institutions in our province as a whole still has a certain gap compared to other provinces.The system of test and inspection institutions is divided into the main camps of state-owned units,government-undertaken institutions and private enterprises.What development strategies should be chosen by testing and inspection institutions under different systems to achieve high-quality development is an issue worth studying.As a testing institution with a state-owned enterprise background,it is necessary to conduct a study on the choice of development strategies for G Engineering Testing Company,firstly to provide guidance for the development of G Company,and secondly to provide a certain reference and relevant research basis for the development of the testing and inspection industry.This paper makes analysis and recommendations for the selection and implementation of the overall development strategy of Company G based on the knowledge of strategic management theory,using two research methods: the case study method and the strategic analysis method to carry out a specific analysis of Company G.Firstly,the PEST analysis and Porter’s Five Forces model are used to analyse the external environment of the company,summarise the opportunities and threats to the company’s development,and then introduce the EFE matrix to evaluate the external environment of Company G with the listed external key factors and determine the relationship between opportunities and threats.Secondly,the internal resources and information of the company were collected and combined with the company profile to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company’s development,which were then substituted into the EFE matrix to evaluate the internal key factors and determine the relationship between strengths and weaknesses.Finally,using the SWOT matrix analysis,it was concluded that Company G should choose a growth-oriented development strategy;and the IE matrix was introduced,and using the IFE and EFE scores,it was determined that Company G should adopt a "grow and build" type of business,i.e.a growth-oriented development strategy,and then the QSPM matrix was used to quantify the analysis and select The QSPM matrix was then used to quantify and select a suitable growth strategy for Company G.The implementation of integration has two aspects: vertical integration and horizontal integration,and vertical integration is expanded into forward integration and backward integration,and the implementation of G’s integrated growth strategy is ensured by optimising the organisational structure,improving the construction of human resources and enhancing service quality.The findings of this paper can also serve as a reference for test and inspection organisations in the context of state-owned enterprises.The significance of the research in this paper is to enrich the study of development strategies of state-owned engineering testing institutions in theory and guide engineering testing companies to formulate suitable development strategies in practice. |
