Study On Mode Of Rural Mutual Support For The Aged In Tai’an City Of Shandong Province

With the rapid increase in China’s elderly population,the accelerating pace of urbanisation and the change in thinking about old age,the traditional family approach to old age is no longer sufficient to meet the needs of the elderly.As a strategy to effectively cope with the ageing population,diversified ways of old-age care have to a certain extent alleviated the lack of social resources for old-age care in China and played a powerful role in promoting the development of China’s rural old-age care.Tai’an City in Shandong Province has a large base of elderly people in rural areas,and the burden of raising an elderly population in rural areas is becoming increasingly severe.Therefore,Tai’an City actively promotes the practical exploration of four types of rural mutual old-age care models,such as family neighbourhood mutual old-age care,community mutual old-age care,rural mutual happy home and time bank mutual old-age care.Based on the overall situation of the ageing population in Tai’an and the current development status of the existing mutual care models in Tai’an,this paper designs questionnaires and uses SPSS software to conduct single-factor interaction analysis and unordered multicategorical logistic multiple regression analysis on the data collated from the questionnaire survey.The five variables of age,physical condition,number of children,frequency of children coming home,and satisfaction with the current elderly care mode had the most significant influence on the choice of the mutual help elderly care model.At present,Tai’an City,Shandong Province,is faced with the dilemma that rural elderly people are not willing to choose the mutual care model,the supply and demand for rural mutual care services are insufficient,the promotion of the special mutual care model is not strong enough,and the local government support is not strong enough.The government of Tai’an City,Shandong Province,should actively take up its social responsibility in the process of promoting rural mutual care services,and strive to enhance the sense of recognition of the mutual care model among the elderly,improve the effectiveness of the supply of mutual care services based on the actual needs of the elderly,actively promote the special model of rural mutual care homes,and innovate the family neighbourhood mutual care model,so as to achieve the high-quality development of rural elderly care services.In this way,we can achieve high-quality development of rural elderly service construction,and thus enhance the sense of access,security and happiness of the elderly in rural areas.In conclusion,in order to promote the continuous improvement of the mutual care model in Tai’an City,it is necessary for multiple forces to participate together.The government,enterprises,families and individuals should play their respective advantages and cooperate extensively and work together to create conditions suitable for the happy life of the elderly so that it becomes the new normal of social development.
