The Belt and Road Initiative not only increases the trade between China and other countries in Asia and Europe, but also scatters the risk of trade between China and countries with high dependence on trade.with the rise of unilateralism and protectionism, the global market is gradually shrinking. At this time,cross-border e-commerce,relying on the Internet’s powerful technology, information and market advantages, stands out and becomes the trend of future trade development.Although cross-border e-commerce has great advantages compared with traditional trade, problems related to infrastructure, customs environment and institutional environment are becoming increasingly prominent, which not only increases the cost of bilateral trade between China and countries along the Belt and Road, but also seriously affects the economic development of countries along the Belt and Road.As an important factor affecting the development of cross-border e-commerce,trade facilitation has been highly concerned by more and more countries. In this context,it leads to the study on the impact of trade facilitation on our cross-border e-commerce export trade. This thesis is to verify the impact path of trade facilitation on our cross-border e-commerce export trade.First of all, this thesis combines the influence mechanism of cross-border e-commerce,takes five indicators, namely infrastructure, customs environment, institutional environment, financial environment and e-commerce,as first-level indicators, selects 15 most representative second-level indicators accordingly, and uses principal component analysis method to build a trade facilitation index system.Secondly, this thesis innovatively selects 17 low-and middle-income countries along the "Belt and Road" as research objects, selects the import country’s trade facilitation level as the core explanatory variable, and Chinese cross-border e-commerce export volume as the explained variable.By constructing an optimized trade gravity model,To study the impact of trade facilitation on China’s cross-border e-commerce export trade. In order to understand in detail the impact of various subdivisions of trade facilitation on China’s cross-border e-commerce export trade, this thesis studies its impact on China’s cross-border e-commerce export trade from five dimensions: infrastructure, customs environment, institutional environment, financial environment and e-commerce.Considering that trade facilitation will not only directly have a positive promoting effect on our cross-border e-commerce export trade, but also promote the development of our cross-border e-commerce export trade by reducing bilateral trade costs. Therefore, this thesis selects bilateral trade cost as the intermediary variable and constructs the intermediary effect model to test the mechanism of the impact of bilateral trade cost on Chinese cross-border e-commerce export trade in trade facilitation. The results show that:(1)The development of cross-border e-commerce export trade can be significantly promoted by optimizing the level of trade facilitation.(2)Infrastructure,customs environment, institutional environment, financial environment and e-commerce have a significant role in promoting the development of cross-border e-commerce export trade.(3)The impact of trade facilitation on our cross-border e-commerce export trade can also be exerted by influencing bilateral trade costs.Through the above research analysis, the aim is to enrich the research perspective of scholars in this field. At the same time,China,as the world’s largest exporter, takes into account that trade is affected by the trade environment of the two countries. Therefore, from the standpoint of China and in combination with the above research conclusions, more targeted suggestions are provided for the government to promote the development of China’s cross-border e-commerce.
