| Consumption is an important part of domestic demand,an important part of the domestic cycle,and also a "stabilizer" and "ballast" for economic and social development.At present,China’s domestic and external environment is still facing many uncertain and unstable factors.Strengthening the basic role of consumption in economic development is an inevitable requirement for achieving high-quality economic development and building a new pattern of development.As an important hub of the domestic and international cycles,pilot free trade zones should play a better role in free trade in expanding domestic demand and promoting consumption and unblocking the domestic cycle.This paper to the free trade zone construction of the regional consumption level for the entrance,enrich and improve the free trade area policy effect assessment,analyzes the characteristics of regional consumption level in China,pointed out the current in expanding domestic demand,promote consumption in the difficulties,pain points,combed the free trade zone related to regional consumption level reform exploration,achievement contribution and short board.Based on 2006-2019284 prefecture level panel data,with the aid of multiple double difference method to build free trade zone construction empirical model of regional consumption level,the benchmark model through the parallel trend test,placebo test and a series of robustness test,can better assessment of free trade zone construction policy effect of regional consumption level.On this basis,this paper from the free trade zone batch,the east Midwest free trade zone and free trade zone in different cities dimension test free trade zone construction of heterogeneity of regional consumption level,and combined with the theoretical basis and influence mechanism analysis,using the intermediary effect model empirical test free trade zone construction affect the regional consumption transmission path level.The empirical results show that,The construction of pilot free trade zones has significantly inhibited the improvement of regional consumption levels,However,the overall inhibitory effect showed a weakening trend;The construction of different batches of pilot free trade zones,the eastern,central and western pilot free trade zones,and different urban pilot free trade zones have a heterogeneous impact on the regional consumption level,among,The construction of the first,second and fifth pilot free trade zones and the pilot free trade zones in eastern China have both suppressed regional consumption levels to varying degrees,The construction of the third and fourth batch of pilot free trade zones and the central and western regions have no significant impact on regional consumption levels,The construction of pilot free trade zones has an inhibitory effect on the consumption level in most urban zones,However,the effect on the consumption level in some urban zones is not obvious.From the influence mechanism inspection,free trade zone construction mainly by increasing population density,significantly suppressed the regional consumption level,but the free trade zone construction by attracting foreign investment,the free trade zone to curb regional consumption level has certain cover effect,failed to significantly through the development of import and export trade affect regional consumption level.Combining the qualitative analysis and the empirical results,This paper dialectically analyzes the influence of the construction of pilot free trade zones on the regional consumption level,And is problem-oriented,Pointed out that in the future,the pilot free trade zones should continue to promote the system innovation in the field of consumption zone,give play to the role of foreign investment and foreign trade in improving the level of consumption supply and reasonable and appropriate control of regional population density and improve regional carrying capacity and other policy suggestions,In order to give better play to the pilot free trade zone as an important hub of the domestic and international double cycle to provide reference and theoretical basis,So that the construction of the pilot free trade zones can play a positive role in improving the regional consumption level,To weaken the negative effects,We will make greater contribution to expanding domestic demand and promoting consumption. |
