The concept of “High-quality development” was first put forward at Nineteen Chinese Communist Party congresses in 2017,marking the beginning of the transition from a period of high-speed growth to a period of high-quality development.As a “Sunrise industry”,insurance industry plays an important role in China’s economic development and becomes an important force to promote economic development.However,we must realize clearly that although our country has become a big insurance country in the world,it is still not a strong insurance country in the world.In order to solve the problem of high-quality development of life insurance industry in China,this paper first sorts out the relevant studies at home and abroad,and determines the connotation of high-quality development of life insurance industry,the choice of index construction and the relevant evaluation methods,based on the integration of general research results,this paper Constructs A high-quality development evaluation system of life insurance in Hunan Province,taking five regions as examples.The system is divided into three levels:the target level,the criterion level and the indicator level,among which the target level is the high quality development level of life insurance industry,based on the Industry Development Scale,industry structure,industry development potential,social service ability,innovation development ability,provincial competitive ability and industry external environment,15 evaluation indexes are selected as the index layer.Choosing the entropy weight method to determine the weight of each index,introducing the extension matter-element model into the evaluation of high-quality development of life insurance industry,constructing the extension matter-element model of high-quality development evaluation of Life Insurance Industry,the paper also evaluates the development level of life insurance industry in five regions of Hunan Province from 2017 to 2019,and analyzes its temporal change law,spatial distribution characteristics and index influencing factors,the paper also puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to promote the high quality development of Life Insurance Industry in Hunan Province.The results show that: In the time series,the high-quality development level of the life insurance industry in each region of Hunan Province was different during 2017-2019(the insurance yearbook was only updated to 2020: The data for 2019),and the development level of the life insurance industry in the Xiangdong District region increased year by year,at the same time,the overall level of development in central,southern,northern and western parts of Hunan is slow and low.In the spatial distribution,the development level of life insurance industry in various regions of Hunan Province is quite different,the overall development level of life insurance industry in the region around chang-zhu-tan is relatively high,and the development level of life insurance industry in central,southern and northern Hunan is generally,the development level of western Hunan is the worst.However,the development level of life insurance industry and local economic development does not have a linear relationship,can not be directly reflected.From the perspective of the specific impact factors,there is a great similarity among the negative indicators in various regions,with relatively poor development levels in terms of insurance depth,insurance density,degree of social security,degree of surrender,degree of contribution to economic development,etc,need to take targeted measures to improve.
