In November 2020,15 Asia-Pacific countries, including China, officially signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership. And RCEP officially entered into force in2022.The entry into force and implementation of RCEP means the formation of a free trade area with the largest population, the greatest development potential, the largest economic and trade scale in the world, which will make important contributions to regional and even global economic development. In addition,China’s agricultural exports have long been affected by quality problems. In this context, there are new opportunities for the upgrade of China’s agricultural product export trade.Meanwhile, the improvement of trade facilitation could have a significant effect on the enhancement of China’s agricultural products. This thesis selects RCEP partner countries as the research objects, supported by regional economic integration theory and transaction cost theory. Then, this thesis explores the relationship between trade facilitation and the quality of China’s export agricultural products through empirical analysis, literature review and comparative analysis.Firstly, this thesis summarizes relevant literature from three aspects: trade facilitation, the quality of China’s export agricultural products and the impact of trade facilitation on the quality of export products. After that, based on relevant theories, the impact mechanism of trade facilitation on the quality of China’s export agricultural products is analyzed from five aspects such as cost effect and son on.Secondly, the principal component analysis method and counterfactual reasoning method are used to measure and analyze the trade facilitation level of RCEP partner countries and the quality of China’s export agricultural products respectively.Thirdly, the established fixed-effect model is used to empirically analyze the impact of trade facilitation on the quality of China’s export agricultural products.Lastly, this thesis gives relevant suggestions based on the analysis above. After study above, this thesis comes to the following conclusions.First, the level of trade facilitation of RCEP partner countries has generally been on the rise, and the level of trade facilitation has great differences among countries.Second, the scale of agricultural trade between China and RCEP partner countries is expanding. But there are problems such as uneven markets distribution and unreasonable structure of export products.Third, the overall level of the quality of China’s export agricultural products is a little low,but it shows a small upward trend.Fourth, the trade facilitation level of RCEP partner countries has obviously promoted the upgrade of the quality of China’s agricultural exports. The level of trade facilitation can significantly improve the quality of products when our agricultural products are exported to high-income countries. The level of trade facilitation also has a good impact on the quality of animal products. The trade facilitation promotes the improvement of export quality through the export price and quantity of agricultural products.Of the four first-tier indicators of trade facilitation, only the regulatory environment has a significant contribution to the quality of exported agricultural products.According to the above research results, this thesis puts forward suggestions from three aspects. To begin with, enterprises should keep a close eye on trade facilitation of exporting nations to improve the quality of agricultural exports, and expand markets. After that, the government should pay attention to improve the institutional environment and create a good business environment. Finally, the country should strengthen international cooperation and improve the level of intraregional trade facilitation.
