A Spatiotemporal Analysis Of The Coordination Between Economic Development And Environment Change In The Mountainous Region Of Western Henan Province

Rural development is an important field of general concern in academia,and the rural economy is an important base for implementing sustainable development and implementing national policies.The economic development of underdeveloped mountainous region is related to the realization of the national goal of rural revitalization.Located in the west of Henan Province,the mountainous region in the west of Henan Province is a typical underdeveloped region.It not only has a large land region,but also has a high risk of large-scale poverty reduction.This is a key region for rural revitalization in Henan and even the central China region.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to carry out research on the space-time evolution pattern of the regional economic development and its coordination with the ecological environment.By utilizing the economic development data of 1996,2006,2016 and2018 in 11 counties in the western mountain region of Henan Province,this paper uses principal component analysis and other methods to construct economic development indicators and study the space-time evolution characteristics of economic development in the western mountain region of Henan Province;Based on the four remote sensing image data in 1996,2006,2016 and 2018,the Remote sensing based ecological index(RSEI)model of western Henan mountainous region is constructed by extracting the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI),WET,Land Surface Temperature(LST),Normalized Difference Build and Soil Index(NDBSI)and other indicators;then select the coupling coordination degree model to analyze the space-time evolution characteristics of its coordination with economic development,and analyze the factors that affect the coordination of economic development and ecological environment.Through this study,it is expected to provide theoretical basis and reference for the formulation of policies related to rural ecological environment protection and economic development in the mountainous region of western Henan and similar underdeveloped region in China.The main research conclusions are as follows:1.Industrial structure has an important influence on the development level of rural economy.By drawing the line charts of per capita income,added value of primary industry,added value of secondary industry and per capita grain output of 11 counties from 1996 to 2018,and comparing the values of each county with the average value of that year,it is found that the economic development of 11 counties in western Henan mountainous region has its own emphasis on the whole.Compared with the primary industry,the counties with higher per capita income have higher level of secondary industry development.In the counties with low per capita income,most of the primary industries develop relatively well,and the development level of primary and secondary industries in a few counties is relatively low,and the per capita income is also very low.2.The quality of ecological environment in the mountainous region of western Henan Province has generally improved,and it shows a trend of continuous improvement with the increase of elevation.By analyzing the temporal and spatial evolution pattern of remote sensing ecological index in mountainous region of western Henan from 1996 to 2018,it is found that the development of ecological environment quality in mountainous region of western Henan is improving on the whole,and its distribution law is that the farther to the east,the smaller the value of remote sensing ecological index,the worse the ecological environment.It is not a vertical strip decreasing,but basically presents a circular hierarchical distribution trend opening to the west.With the elevation rising,the remote sensing ecological index in the mountainous region of western Henan province also shows a trend of gradual increase,and the lower the altitude,the lower the remote sensing ecological index and the worse the ecological environment quality.3.Economic development is gradually coordinated with the ecological environment.By studying the coordination between economic development and ecological environment in mountainous region of western Henan,it is found that the coordination between economic development and ecological environment in mountainous region of western Henan experienced a development trend of "high-low-high-high" from 1996 to 2018.The spatial distribution pattern is basically the same as the altitude distribution law,showing a semi-circular distribution trend.The higher the altitude,the better the coupling coordination.This shows that the lower the altitude,the richer the human activities and the closer and more frequent the interaction with the ecological environment.4.The coordination between economic development and ecological environment is influenced by many factors.In this paper,the factors affecting the coordinated development of economy and ecology in the mountainous region of western Henan are explored through population,industrial structure,policies and measures.The results show that rural population density is the primary factor affecting the spatial differentiation of economic development and ecological environment coordination;industrial structure is the key influencing factor for the coordinated development of economy and ecological environment;policy measures play a significant role in the coordinated development of economy and ecological environment.
