Common prosperity is the essential requirement of socialism with Chinese characteristics and is a long-term historical process.Now,we have reached the historical stage of solidly promoting common prosperity,and the most arduous task of promoting common prosperity is still in the countryside.Because the biggest imbalance in China’s development is the imbalance between urban and rural development,and the biggest inadequacy is the inadequacy of rural development.Taking Sichuan and Chongqing as the research objects,this paper calculates the urban-rural common prosperity index of 212 counties in Sichuan and Chongqing by establishing the evaluation index system of urban-rural common prosperity;Using the data provided by Baidu Map APP,the average shortest travel time is used to calculate the county’s internal traffic reachability;This paper analyzes the spatial distribution characteristics of urban and rural common prosperity and internal traffic accessibility in Sichuan and Chongqing,and on this basis,uses OLS regression analysis and case analysis to explore the impact of county internal traffic accessibility on urban and rural common prosperity.The research finds that:(1)In 2020,the characteristics of urban and rural common prosperity regions in Sichuan and Chongqing are significant.The counties with high and high common prosperity index are mainly distributed in Chengdu Plain Economic Zone,Northeast Sichuan Economic Zone and South Sichuan Economic Zone,which are in a semicircle shape and span Sichuan and Chongqing;The counties with low and low common prosperity index are mainly distributed in the ecological demonstration area in northwest Sichuan,the towns in the Three Gorges reservoir area in northeast Chongqing,and the towns in Wuling mountain area in southeast Chongqing;The counties with medium common prosperity index are mainly distributed in northwest Sichuan ecological demonstration area and northeast Sichuan economic zone.(2)In 2020,the regional characteristics of internal traffic accessibility in Sichuan and Chongqing are obvious.The counties with good and good commom internal traffic accessibility are concentrated in Chengdu Plain Economic Zone,Northeast Sichuan Economic Zone,South Sichuan Economic Zone,and the west of Chongqing,forming a big circle;The counties with poor and poor common internal traffic accessibility are mainly distributed in Northwest Sichuan Ecological Demonstration Area and Panxi Economic Zone;The counties with general internal traffic accessibility are mainly distributed in the Northwest Sichuan Ecological Demonstration Zone,Panxi Economic Zone,the towns in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area in the northeast of Chongqing,and the towns in the Wuling Mountain Area in the southeast of Chongqing.(3)There is a negative correlation between the accessibility of intra county transportation in Sichuan and Chongqing(Average shortest travel time)and the common prosperity of urban and rural areas,and it is significant at the level of1%.(4)In key open areas and major agricultural product producing areas,there is a negative correlation between intra county traffic accessibility and urban and rural common prosperity,and it is significant at the level of 1%.However,in the ecological protection zone,the relationship between the accessibility of intra county traffic and the common prosperity of urban and rural areas is not significant.(5)The improvement of transportation accessibility can promote the income of rural residents from characteristic agricultural products and tourism;Promote rural residents’ active consumption in cities and online consumption;Promote the improvement of public service supply capacity of public service institutions and the accessibility of public services for rural residents.Compared with previous studies,this paper uses Baidu Map APP to calculate the intra-county traffic accessibility,which enriches the calculation methods and data sources of intra-county traffic accessibility;This paper discusses the common prosperity of urban and rural areas from the perspective of transportation accessibility,filling the gaps in the research field of transportation and common prosperity.
