| With the continuous development of digital technology, digital economy,as a new economic form, has become a new driving force for economic growth in the international trade of various countries.China also attaches great importance to the development of digital economy, and the digital trade with other countries is increasingly close. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership came into force in 2022,which has made many provisions on the development of digital economy in the region. The signing of the agreement is bound to bring new opportunities to the development of digital economy among Member States, thus promoting the development of bilateral trade between China and other member states. In China’s export market of goods,high-tech products occupy a very important position in the trade market because of their high added value and high economic benefits. However, international trade protectionism is on the rise, technical trade barriers are increasing in many developed countries, and the export of high-tech products in China is encountering obstacles.Under this realistic background,it is of great significance to study the impact of the development level of digital economy in RCEP countries on the export of high-tech products in China. This paper mainly studies the relationship between the development level of digital economy of RCEP member countries and the export of high-tech products in China.Firstly, this paper combs the relevant literature of digital economy and high-tech products.Secondly, combined with relevant theories,it discusses the impact mechanism of digital economy and high-tech product export.Thirdly,it analyzes the development status of digital economy in RCEP countries and the export status of high-tech products in China. Then, based on the trade data of RCEP countries from 2010 to 2020,the measurement system of the development level of the digital economy is constructed from the three dimensions of digital infrastructure construction, digital technology outward competitiveness, and digital R&D environment, and the development level score of the digital economy of RCEP countries is calculated by the principal component analysis method. Then, based on the expanded trade gravity model, the export volume of high-tech products is used as the explained variable, and the development level of digital economy is used as the explanatory variable for regression analysis. Finally, based on the research results, corresponding suggestions are put forward for the development of digital economy in RCEP countries and the export of high-tech products in China.According to the results of the research and empirical analysis in this paper, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)There is a big gap in the development level of digital economy in RCEP countries, and the development level of digital economy in developed countries is generally higher than that in developing countries.(2)China’s export of hightech products to RCEP countries has broad prospects, but there are some problems, such as unbalanced distribution of export volume and single category of export products.(3)The improvement of the development level of digital economy in RCEP countries is conducive to the export of high-tech products in China. From the different dimensions of the development level of digital economy, the improvement of digital R&D environment has the most obvious effect on the export of high-tech products in China.(4)From the different perspective of the classification of high-tech products, the improvement of the development level of digital economy in RCEP countries can better promote the export of high-tech products in China’s non pharmaceutical and medical industries.(5)The development level of digital economy in RCEP countries can promote the export of hightech products in China through two channels: reducing trade costs and improving innovation capabilities. |
