| As an important pillar of China’s economy,manufacturing industry has always been a hot topic for national discussion.In the current context of domestic and foreign dual circulation promoting and complementing each other,the influence of participation in the status of global value chain`s position of manufacturing enterprises is more far-reaching.Since the reform and opening up,China’s participation in the global global value chain`s position of manufacturing enterprises has been greatly improved,and the total export value has repeatedly reached new highs,but the domestic added value of products is still at a low level,and the technical level is backward.At present,Chinese manufacturing enterprises are facing the dual challenges of weakening cost advantages and improving the level of innovation in improving the domestic added value of product exports.How to further enhance the global value chain`s position of manufacturing enterprises status of Chinese manufacturing enterprises has become an important issue.In this regard,China proposed to improve the level of intelligence as an important development strategy.In this context,the impact of the application of artificial intelligence technology on the further improvement of the global value chain`s position of manufacturing enterprises status of Chinese manufacturing enterprises is deeply explored,which is helpful to realize the role of artificial intelligence application on the export domestic added value rate of manufacturing enterprises,and then further improve the status of global value chain`s position of manufacturing enterprises of Chinese manufacturing enterprises.Through literature combing,this paper combines and organizes the latest93204 microdata published from 2000 to 2016 in IFR,UN Comtrade,China Industrial Enterprise Database and Customs Enterprise Database as data sources,and empirically analyzes the export domestic value-added rate of artificial intelligence and manufacturing enterprises by constructing a fixed-effect model.The benchmark regression results show that the application of artificial intelligence technology has a significant effect on the export domestic value-added rate of manufacturing enterprises,and the positive effect of artificial intelligence technology has also been significantly improved after the largescale commercial use in 2011.By changing the variable estimation method and adding the interaction term measurement method,the robustness and endogeneity of the empirical research in this paper are verified.The mechanism test results show that the degree of intelligence mainly affects the export domestic value-added rate through two channels: the substitution of low-end labor and the improvement of enterprise innovation ability.The results of heterogeneity analysis show that from the perspective of trade mode,processing trade is more affected by the degree of AI application.From the perspective of industry heterogeneity,the lithium battery industry is the most affected by artificial intelligence,followed by the electronics industry,the automotive industry and the metal products industry;From the perspective of provinces,Zhejiang Province,Guangdong Province and Jiangsu Province are the most affected by AI,followed by Fujian Province and Anhui Province;From the perspective of the nature of enterprises,non-state-owned enterprises are more affected by artificial intelligence than state-owned enterprises,should be used as an important area to further promote the application of artificial intelligence in the future.Combined with the research results and the actual situation in China,this paper believes that China should continue to increase the application and promotion of artificial intelligence technology,and provide financial and policy support for enterprises to introduce artificial intelligence equipment by reducing import tariffs on artificial intelligence equipment and reducing the qualification barriers of listing and financing channels.At the same time,precise support should be adopted to improve policy efficiency and achieve targeted investment.Processing trade enterprises,non-state-owned enterprises,and the western region will be guided as key areas to promote the penetration rate of self-energy equipment in the future.In view of the transformation of labor structure,increase vocational and technical training or guide the transfer to the tertiary industry for low-skilled labor groups;For high-tech talents,help manufacturing enterprises connect with universities and research institutes to promote the transformation of scientific research achievements. |
