With the rapid development of the new generation of information technology and the emerging trend of global business ecological restructuring,digital economy is becoming a new engine for high-quality development of the global economy.The rapid development of the digital economy not only provides new impetus for macroeconomic growth,but also provides strong driving force for the digital transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government,except Tibet)from2015 to 2020,this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system of the development level of digital economy and traditional industry,and calculates the integration level index of digital economy and traditional industry by using the entropy-coupled coordination method.This paper analyses the spatio-temporal evolution of digital economy and traditional industry.By establishing the spatial panel data model,this paper empirically analyzes the driving mechanism of digital economy and traditional industry integration,specifically explores the influence of talent-technology matching degree and information-institution matching degree on the integration degree,and further conducts the heterogeneity test by region.The results show that:(1)Based on the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of integration degree analysis,the integration level of digital economy and traditional industry in all regions shows an increasing trend during the sample period,and all regions have entered the integration stage;The integration level of digital economy and traditional industry in different regions has obvious disequilibrium characteristics,showing a "high-medium-low" gradient distribution pattern from east to west.(2)The spatial autocorrelation analysis of the integration degree shows that the integration level of digital economy and traditional industry presents high spatial positive correlation and mainly low aggregation distribution characteristics.(3)The empirical analysis of the motivation for the integration level of digital economy and traditional industries shows that the integration development of digital economy and traditional industries has a spatial spillover effect on the whole,and the matching degree of talent and technology in traditional industries and information and system in traditional industries has a significant positive impact on the integration level of local digital economy and traditional industries.From the perspective of subregion,the better the integrated development level and the higher the traditional industrial operation efficiency are,the more conducive the driving factors to play their role.The region with the slow integrated development level has the negative effect of information-institution matching driving the integrated development due to the influence of market mechanism and government strategy.The paper considers that giving consideration to regional coordinated development strengthening integration factor matching and optimizing technology capital guarantee are helpful to improve the overall integration level of the digital economy and traditional industry in our country.
