Research On The Influence Mechanism Of Digital Economy On The High-Quality Development Of China’s Manufacturing Industry

Since the 18 th National Congress of the CPC,China has gradually entered the ranks of building a new digital economy country,and has made remarkable achievements in all aspects of the development of the digital economy.The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China affirmed the profound impact of the booming development of emerging industries such as the digital economy on the optimization of economic structure.The current high-quality development opportunities and challenges coexist in China’s manufacturing industry,and new generation information technologies such as the digital economy are the key to breaking the situation.The digital economy will inevitably play an indispensable role in the high-quality development of China’s real economy.As the key to revitalizing the real economy,the manufacturing industry is also the main battlefield for the development of the digital economy.This article focuses on exploring the relationship and mechanism between the digital economy and the high-quality development of manufacturing industry,providing diversified paths for the integration and development of China’s digital industry and manufacturing industry,and providing certain reference for the government to formulate relevant policies and balance the high-quality development of regional manufacturing industry.This article selects 31 provinces across the country as the research object and adopts a combination of theoretical and empirical methods to explore the impact mechanism of the digital economy on the high-quality development of China’s manufacturing industry.Firstly,based on the literature review,the current research status of digital economy and high-quality development of manufacturing industry was summarized and summarized.Secondly,through data processing analysis,the current development status of China’s manufacturing industry and digital economy from 2011 to 2020 is analyzed,and research hypotheses are proposed.Thirdly,we use the entropy coupling coordination model to measure and evaluate the high-quality development level of the digital economy and manufacturing industry in each province,and then use benchmark regression,mesomeric effect test,heterogeneity test,robustness test and other methods to conduct empirical analysis.Finally,draw research conclusions and propose policy recommendations.This study found that:(1)there is a significant direct effect between the digital economy and the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry;(2)The digital economy can promote the process of industrial integration and development;(3)The digital economy indirectly promotes the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry by promoting industrial integration;(4)There are differences in the promotion effect of digital economy on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry in various regions of East,Central,West,and Northeast China;(5)Currently,the overall level of high-quality development in China’s digital economy and manufacturing industry is improving,with varying degrees of regional differences.In order to promote the high-quality development of China’s manufacturing industry,this article believes that in the future,efforts should be made to strengthen the development of the digital economy and the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry;Deepen the integration and development of the digital economy and manufacturing industry;Strengthen regional coordination and cooperation to achieve complementary advantages;Strengthen investment in scientific and technological innovation;Optimize top-level design to ensure a high-quality development environment for the manufacturing industry.
