The proposal of the "the Belt and Road" initiative has promoted cooperation and exchanges between China and countries along the "the Belt and Road" in many fields, and also provided more opportunities and platforms for countries to actively participate in the division of global value chains. At present,a large number of studies show that the focus of global economic competition has gradually shifted from trade in goods to trade in services.Trade in services has increasingly become a new engine driving the economic development and trade growth of countries, and is also a new channel for countries to actively participate in international cooperation and promote the better integration of products and production factors into the global value chain. However, most of the countries along the "the Belt and Road" are developing countries.Compared with developed countries, the development level of the service industry is low,and the international competitiveness is at a relative disadvantage. The division of labor in the global value chain is locked in the low-end link. Can we effectively improve the division of labor position of the service industry of the countries along the line in the global value chain? These problems need to be further tested.Based on this, this thesis takes the countries along the "the Belt and Road" as the research object, and on the basis of combing the literature, first analyzes the mechanism of the impact on the rise of the global value chain from the theoretical level, and comprehensively combs the service industry development level of the countries along the "the Belt and Road" from the scale of service trade, trade structure and competitiveness level, and analyzes the performance and shortcomings of the service industry development of each country,Secondly, the data of ADBMRIO2021 is used to calculate and sort out the global value chain status of the service industry of the countries along the "the Belt and Road" from 2007 to 2020.On this basis, the dual difference method is used to empirically test the impact of the "the Belt and Road" initiative on the division of labor status of the global value chain of the service industry of the countries along the "Belt and Road",and the heterogeneity analysis is carried out from the service industry segment and national level;Further,we built a mediation effect model to test whether the "the Belt and Road" initiative has an impact on the global value division status of the service industry of the countries along the Belt and Road through the three mechanisms of foreign direct investment, trade facilitation and digital innovation. The research results show that the "the Belt and Road" initiative can effectively promote the rise of the global value chain status of the countries along the Belt and Road, and has a significant impact on the rise of the global value chain status of knowledge intensive and labor-intensive services in the countries along the Belt and Road.At the same time,it also has a heterogeneous impact on countries and regions with different economic development levels. Finally,on the basis of theoretical and empirical analysis, the article puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the promotion of the division of labor in the global value chain of the service industry of countries along the "the Belt and Road",providing reference and reference for China to deepen the "the Belt and Road" innovation cooperation and promote the high-quality development of service trade of countries along the "the Belt and Road".
