Research On Wuzhen Smart Tourism Operation Management

Abstract/Summary:
With the development of economy and residents’ income,the pursuit of spiritual culture has made tourism enter the era of "mass tourism".The surge in demand for tourism has led to the transformation of the industry.The traditional labor-intensive tourism has been fallen behind the needs of people.Thus,smart tourism emerged with the development of science and technology.As a solution to promote industrial upgrading,meet demand and guide consumption,smart tourism has gained the attention of the industry in recent years.However,as a new term,its actual effect lags behind the concept.Especially when the wind of "smart tourism construction" sweeps across the industry,most tourism management units or enterprises take "construction" as the focus of smart tourism landing,often ignoring how smart tourism will affect the operation and management of scenic spots.This study will explore the impact of smart tourism on the operation and management of tourist attractions and the problems in the operation and management of tourist attractions,and try to propose solutions.The case study selected Wuzhen Scenic Spot,a scenic spot with early development of smart tourism,to conduct a comprehensive survey and classified record of the current situation of smart tourism construction and operation management in Wuzhen Scenic Spot through field research.After that,the operation and management of smart tourism in Wuzhen scenic spot are analyzed from the perspectives of both staff and tourists: visit the staff of the scenic spot and conduct qualitative analysis of the interview text;The questionnaire on smart tourism satisfaction was distributed to tourists,and the questionnaire data was analyzed quantitatively.Based on the above two analysis results,this paper examines the operation and management results of Wuzhen Smart Tourism Scenic Spot,and concludes that there are problems in the operation and management of Wuzhen Smart Tourism Scenic Spot: the lack of systematic construction of smart tourism;Insufficient understanding of tourists’ needs;The management mode lags behind;Lack of information processing ability;There is a shortage of professionals.In view of the above problems,this paper suggested that in the operation and management of smart tourism in scenic spots,we should pay attention to systematic construction,transposition thinking,deepen the understanding of tourists’ needs,adjust the management mode to adapt to the changes brought about by new technologies,improve the ability of information processing,and cultivate professional talents in multiple aspects.
