Human history has now fully entered the era of digital economy, which will reshape productivity and reconstruct new forms of economy by means of digitization and informatization. In the future economic development of China, the construction of digital economy will become the core driver. In the "Overall Layout Plan for the Construction of Digital China" issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council in February 2023,it is pointed out that accelerating the construction of digital China is of great significance and far-reaching impact on the overall construction of a modern socialist country and the overall promotion of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The strategic layout of digital economy development in developed countries, represented by the "Information Superhighway" of the United States, the "Digital Britain" plan of the United Kingdom and the "Industry4.0" of Germany, has already started in an earlier period. How to seize a seat in the digital economy era, information and communication technology(ICT)industry development is crucial. The current global ICT market is expanding, and the occurrence of the new crown epidemic is speeding up its growth. And the Group of Twenty(G20),as an important platform for world economic governance, occupies a dominant position in global ICT products, and member countries have formed different sectoral advantages in long-term development by virtue of their national resource endowments, and the global division of labor in ICT products has been continuously refined and deepened leading to the continuous complication of production networks and trade networks. In the context of the rapid development of ICT products and their increasing importance to a country’s economic development on the one hand, and the increasingly fierce international competitiveness on the other,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to explore the evolution of the trade pattern of ICT products in G20 countries and the influencing factors from the perspective of multilateral trade,in order to improve the theoretical system of ICT trade and trade network research and how China can lead the development of the global ICT industry This paper is a study of the evolution of ICT trade and trade networks in the G20 countries and the factors influencing it.Firstly, this paper compares the literature from four aspects: G20 countries,ICT,international trade networks and ICT international trade networks and influencing factors, and finds that the research perspective on the trade of ICT products in G20 countries needs to be innovated and the research on its influencing factors needs to be enriched, thus indicating the research direction for this paper.Secondly, after selecting the research content and method, international trade theory and social network theory are selected as the theoretical support for this paper.Once again,a multilateral trade perspective is used to construct a total of 22 years of G20 member countries’ ICT products weighted trade network and weighted trade network from 2000 to 2021,and the evolution process of the overall pattern, association structure and individual status of ICT products trade network is explored at three levels: macro, meso and micro, respectively. Finally,QAP analysis method is used to construct regression models of influencing factors from six aspects: economy, geography, technology, infrastructure, market and openness to analyze the factors affecting the evolution of ICT product trade networks in G20 countries. The following conclusions are obtained:(1)from the overall pattern, the countries’ ICT products trade is more closely linked;(2)from the association structure, the formation of ICT products cohesive subgroups is less influenced by geographic restrictions, and the member countries have formed a more solid cooperative relationship among ICT products trade;(3)from the individual position,China’s position in this trade pattern has gradually moved from the edge of the network to the(3)From the perspective of individual status,China’s position in this trade pattern has gradually moved from the edge of the network to the core of the network, and China and the United States occupy the "dominant" position of G20 countries in the import and export of ICT products trade respectively, while the United States and Europe and other countries have a stronger influence on ICT products due to the early development of ICT industry.(4)Land proximity, science and technology innovation gap, infrastructure gap and openness gap have a significant role in promoting the trade network of ICT products in G20 countries, while geographical distance and market size gap have a significant hindering effect on it.In response to the above research findings, this paper puts forward recommendations such as strengthening international exchanges and cooperation to expand ICT trade space;research and development to empower technological innovation and enhance ICT international competitiveness;optimizing the layout of infrastructure construction to strengthen the foundation of ICT development;promoting digital integration of three industries to expand ICT market scale;creating a highquality business environment to improve ICT openness pattern,in order to enhance China’s ICT industry in It is expected to provide reference to improve the status of China’s ICT industry in G20 countries and enhance its international competitiveness.
