An Analysis Of Trade Linkages And Influencing Factors Among BRICS Countries

BRICS have strong representation in many emerging economies.In recent years,its development has attracted the attention of countries all over the world.Since the concept of BRICS countries was formally put forward,the economic and trade relations among the countries have developed rapidly,and the comprehensive national strength has been significantly enhanced.In recent years,the overall economic strength of the BRICS countries have maintained an upward trend.But affected by the global financial crisis,anti-globalization and other factors,although,there has been a certain degree of slowdown and differentiation in the rate of growth.Negative factors,such as geopolitics,are emerging again,and the tone of the decline has also gradually increased.In the current world environment,the behavior of cooperation reflects the interest game and demand of various actors,and the construction and development of cooperation mechanism is based on good economic and trade relations.Therefore,it is necessary to study the economic and trade relations among BRICS countries in depth.Finding out the main problems and influencing factors,so is to achieve healthy and sustainable development of BRICS economic and trade cooperation.Based on the above background,this paper takes the BRICS countries as the research object,and analyzes the trade relations among the five countries and their influencing factors.The first part is the introduction of the article,mainly combing the research background,significance and literature review.The second part talks about the relevant theoretical basis.Based on the relevant theory,it analyzes the necessity and urgency of the formation of trade links among BRICS countries.From the point of view of national interests,it analyzes the beneficial base and related influencing factors of BRICS trade links.The third part carries on the basic analysis to the BRICS countries’ trade situation and the influencing factors by using the relevant data obtained from the collation and calculation.It points out that the trade scale of the five countries shows an expanding trend,but the trade links are looser,which are mainly influenced by external pressure,self-development and politics and so on.In the fourth part,we use the trade gravity model to test and analyze the related factors of BRICS trade development.The empirical results show that the main factors affecting the development of trade are the gross domestic product(GDP)of the BRICS countries,the difference of GDP per capital between the two countries,the expenditure on external intellectual property rights and the degree of trade openness of the BRICS countries themselves.Geographical factors are affected by conditions such as enhanced transport capacity,and are no longer the main factors.The new changes in the relevant data are included,more in line with the current state of affairs than previous studies.The optimization and promotion of trade links is conducive to the healthy development of economic and trade relations.And the development process of cooperation mechanism and the steady operation of the construction of regional economic integration will be promoted.Through the study of the trade links and influencing factors among BRICS countries,this paper provides some enlightenment and ideas for BRICS countries in trade development and cooperation.
