Research On The Influence Of China’s Digital Economy On High-quality Economic Development

Along with China’s economic development,the economic growth mode relying on population dividend and the traditional "three drivers" can no longer adapt to the sustainable development requirements of the new era,and explore the high quality and efficient new development path,the rise of digital economy provides important opportunities for our economic transformation and high quality development.Therefore,studying the role of digital economy in the process of high-quality economic development has great significance to promote our economy to achieve high-quality and efficient development.Taking 2011-2020 as the research scope,this paper conducts the following qualitative and quantitative analysis on the relationship between China’s digital economy and highquality economic development,with the exception of 30 provincial administrative units in Tibet,Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan.First of all,on the basis of combing the literature related to digital economy and highquality economic development,this paper summarizes the existing achievements in the connotation and empirical research of digital economy and high-quality economic development,and systematically clarifies the theoretical basis of this research.It includes theories related to digital economy,high-quality economic development,inclusive growth theory,growth pole theory and unbalanced growth theory.Then,the paper studies its influence mechanism on high-quality economic development from the perspectives of digital economy and digital foundation,digital industrialization,industrial digitalization and digital innovation in four sub-dimensions,which provides relevant practical and theoretical support for the quantitative research in the following paper.Secondly,on the basis of clear development status of digital economy and high-quality economy and existing research,the evaluation index system of both is constructed.The entropy weight TOPSIS method is used to assign weight and measure development level,and the temporal order and regional development level are analyzed and found: Our development level of digital economy is showing a steady increase but the growth rate is somewhat moderated,which is consistent with the trend of actively decreasing the speed of our economic development.Among them,the development level of sub-dimension has increased,and the digital foundation has the fastest growth.The development level of the seven regions in descending order are: East China,North China,South China,Central China,Southwest China,Northeast China and Northwest China;The level of high-quality economic development in our country is on the rise as a whole.The level of high-quality economic development in seven regions is from high to low: The status quo of South China,East China,North China,Central China,Northeast China,Southwest China and Northwest China,among which East China,North China and South China are the leading areas of high-quality economic development.It can be seen that the areas with a better level of high-quality economic development are mainly concentrated in coastal areas and important economic circle radiation areas.Thirdly,econometric and statistical methods such as fixed effect model,panel threshold model and spatial error model are used to empirically study the impact of digital economy on high-quality economic development.After the regression of the full sample data,the endogeneity and robustness of the benchmark model are tested.The heterogeneity of digital economy’s influence on high-quality economic development was explored from the perspectives of time-sharing sequence,region and digital economy development level respectively.Finally,based on the spatial linkage effect,the spatial spillover effect of digital economy development on high-quality economic development in neighboring regions was studied,and the following conclusions were obtained: Digital economy and its four subdimensions all significantly promoted high-quality economic development in China;In the analysis of heterogeneity,based on the temporal perspective,the positive influence of Chinese digital economy on the development of high quality economy gradually increases over time.Among them,digital foundation and digital industrialization have no obvious temporal relationship with the development of high quality economy in this period.However,the influence of industrial digitalization and digitalization innovation on the high quality development of Chinese economy has shown significant positive sequential relationship;Based on the regional perspective,the development of digital economy in seven regions is conducive to the high-quality development of regional economy.From the perspective of the development level of digital economy,the influence of different development levels of digital economy on high-quality economic development presents a "√" type,that is,the development of digital economy in low-level areas is not conducive to high-quality economic development in the short term,but the promotion effect of digital economy on high-quality economic development is revealed as the region enters the range of medium and high level.And with the improvement of the level of the promotion of high-quality economic development;Digital economy has a significant spatial positive correlation with high-quality economic development,and such spatial spillover has a greater effect on improving the quality of economic development in neighboring regions.Finally,combined with the above conclusions,this paper puts forward four policy suggestions: first,adapt to local conditions,establish and improve the long-term mechanism.Second,we should give full play to the interconnected effect of regions and promote highquality and coordinated economic development.Third,adhere to innovation and achieve efficiency reform.Fourth,set policy targets and take multiple measures to strengthen market supervision.
