| Currently,China is paying great emphasis on the development of the digital economy and has adopted a range of guidelines and policies to support the construction of digital China.The digital economy has not only significantly affected traditional industries,but also unleashed unprecedented vitality to an extent,which has had a profound impact on national economic growth pattern and development mode,brought tremendous reform to economy of our country,and improved total factor productivity and economic growth quality.Therefore,it has a very practical meaning for this paper to explore the implications and mechanisms of the digital economy on the quality of economic growth around the theme of digital transformation.On the basis of relevant research,this paper takes urban-level data from 2011-2019 and provides an in-depth analysis of the influential effects and mechanisms of action of digital economy development and urban economic growth quality.To be specific,firstly,the construction of the index system of core variables,mainly the index system of two key variables of economic growth quality and digital economy,on which the development level of this variable is assessed using the entropy value method.Secondly,the effectiveness of digital economy development on the economy is experimentally examined with a dual fixed effects model,and heterogeneity analysis is carried out in terms of geographical location,macro environment and city characteristics.Thirdly,the spatial effects of digital economy development are empirically experimented by spatial Durbin model,and heterogeneity from the perspectives of city characteristics and level of science and education resources is analyzed.Fourthly,the conclusions of the study will be generalized to formulate policy recommendations for achieving the construction of digital China and high-quality economic development.The research shows that:(1)The digital economy can contribute to the quality of economic growth of cities,with the best effect on the efficiency of economic growth of sub indicators.(2)Among the heterogeneous results,digital economy has a better effect on the economy of coastal cities,cities with high quality of economic growth and high level of opening up.(3)The finding reveals that the digital economy has a remarkable positive effect on the quality of economic growth in the region,and also has a beneficial impression on neighboring regions.In addition,under different geographical locations,urban agglomeration characteristics and the level of science and education resources,the strength and direction of digital economy acting on urban economy are different. |
