With the intensification of global climate degradation,countries around the world are paying more and more attention to the development and utilization of new energy represented by gas,and the role of natural gas in ensuring the sustainable development of the ecological environment has become more and more prominent.After China’s "double carbon target" was proposed,gas has become one of the key new energies because of its advantages of energy saving,environmental friendliness and high efficiency.The proposal of the "coal to gas" policy has improved the promotion of natural gas and increased its market share,thus intensifying the competition in gas industry.With the deterioration of international energy crisis and geopolitical conflict in recent years,the cost of gas imports has increased significantly,bringing a huge burden on China’s gas enterprises.In addition,the rapid increase of gas consumption due to our government’s measures of resumption of work and production in the post-epidemic period has intensified the shortage of gas supply.China’s gas enterprises are facing more and greater challenges,which have adopted the forms of improving customer service,operational capabilities,and expanding sales networks.Facing such a complex domestic and foreign environment,how China’s gas enterprises survive in the competition,enhance their core competitiveness and maintaining their healthy and stable operation is a problem worthy of discussion and research.Based on the above background,this paper selects ZY Gas Hebei Company as the sample,takes the investigation and research method and statistical analysis method,and analyzes the present operational state,the key resources and capabilities.Based on the above study,the VRIO model is used to analyze the core competitiveness of the enterprise,thereby identifying the key problems in enterprise development and building a ZY Gas Hebei Company core competitiveness evaluation model,which offers a comprehensive fourdimension study on enterprise value,rarity,inimitability and organization and reaches a conclusion that the company’s intrinsic competitiveness is at the middle level of the industry,and the company has some problems in corporate culture,brand loyalty,information construction,innovative research and development and etc.Finally,with a view of national policies,market demand and enterprise development requirements,this paper uses diversified theories to propose the following developmental policies: strengthening the construction of corporate culture,improving brand influence,promoting information construction and strengthening innovation capabilities.This study exposes the shortcomings of ZY Gas Hebei Company in operation and development,proposes measures to enhance the core competitiveness of the enterprises,points out the direction of the company’s strategic adjustment,and lays the basis for the company to expand new fields and markets,thus promoting the company’s long-term development mechanism.
