In recent years,the rapid development of new technologies represented by cloud computing,big data,etc.has promoted the development of China’s digital economy and the digital transformation of the economy.New technologies and the financial industry closely combined to form the financial technology,but also continue to promote the digital transformation of the financial industry.In order to grasp the new situation,meet the new challenges and seize the new opportunities of digital development,the country has formulated the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the development of digital economy,which has further strengthened the understanding of digital development in the banking industry.At the same time,with the booming development of information technology,Internet finance has also caused certain impact on China’s banking industry,and the external business environment and consumer habits have changed,commercial banks urgently need to seek a new development path through digital transformation.After realizing the necessity of digital transformation for bank innovation and development,large state-owned banks and joint-stock banks have started to lay out digital transformation earlier and achieved better results with their own capital advantages.However,small and medium-sized banks,represented by urban commercial banks and rural commercial banks,have been slow to develop digital transformation due to the constraints of capital,technology and talents.Therefore,it is of certain theoretical and practical significance to study how small and medium-sized banks can carry out digital transformation under the support of financial technology.Using research methods such as literature analysis and case study method,this paper firstly composes research literature on financial technology,the impact of financial technology on commercial banks,digital transformation of commercial banks and digital transformation strategies of small and medium-sized banks,defines the concepts of financial technology,small and medium-sized banks and digital transformation,and introduces theories of digital economy,enterprise transformation,financial innovation and technology advancement.Then,this paper focuses on the current situation,problems and causes of digital transformation of small and medium-sized banks in China supported by financial technology,and then introduces the evaluation system of digital transformation degree and financial performance of small and medium-sized banks,and takes Bank of Nanjing as a case to discuss its transformation history and transformation strategy measures,and selects specific data of Bank of Nanjing to evaluate its digital transformation degree and financial performance.Finally,this paper combines the conclusions and insights from the theoretical research and case study,and proposes countermeasures to promote digital transformation of small and medium-sized banks in China,including:focusing on the long-term strategic layout of transformation,deepening the adaptation of organizational structure,basing on the existing characteristic business,improving the data governance system,innovating the mechanism of digital development talents,and increasing the policy support. |
