The increasing uncertainty of the business environment and the intensification of market competition have made it more difficult for companies to cope with the challenges of survival and growth.As a concept that comprehensively reflects the effect of enterprises to adapt to external turbulent environments,organizational resilience has become a key factor for the sustainable development and growth of enterprises,and has attracted increasing attention from academic researchers,business operators and government agencies.In-depth study of the factors affecting organizational resilience is of great significance to improve the crisis response ability of enterprises and achieve highquality development.The overall resilience of an organization comes from the resilience of its internal subsystems.As the supply chain increasingly becomes the new development model for business organizations,maintaining the robustness of supply chain operations is an important part of maintaining organizational resilience.The refinement of market division of labor and the strengthening of supply chain cooperation have driven enterprises to build flexible and active network relationships to cope with the complex and dynamic market environment,and the supply chain management context has expanded from the binary relationship of "supplier-customer" to a network-like relationship of interlocking and interconnected.The enterprise supply chain network is one of the most important components of social network,and portrays the supply chain relationship among many enterprises as network participants in a more comprehensive way.Network centrality can reflect the degree of strategic position occupied by node enterprises in the network,and also reflects the status advantage and relative power characteristics of node enterprises compared with other nodes in the network,which affects decision making,behavior and strategy.Differences in the centrality of a firm’s supply chain network may lead to differences in the resources,information and mastery available to the firm,and may also have different effects on the firm’s effectiveness in recovering and maintaining a given level of performance under uncertainty,which in turn affects organizational resilience.In-depth research on how supply chain network centrality affects organizational resilience and what potential influence paths exist between them is of great significance for firms to seek growth momentum and achieve stable development through supply chain network practices.However,there are few empirical studies on the effect of enterprise network centricity on organizational resilience in the background of supply chain network.In order to enrich the relevant research,this paper further explores the factors influencing organizational resilience of supply chain network members from the perspective of supply chain networks,and attempts to provide reference and suggestions for enterprises to improve organizational resilience through supply chain network practice.Based on the above theoretical and practical background,this study takes China’s manufacturing A-share listed companies as the research object,and uses the supply chain,market performance,government subsidies and other relevant data disclosed in CSMAR and WIND databases,as well as the patent application data of listed companies published on the CNRDS official website,to construct a large-sample,multi-level supply chain network for each year from 2016 to 2020.This study uses the network data analysis software Pajek to calculate betweenness centrality to measure the level of supply chain network centrality,while conceptualizing organizational resilience as a two-dimensional structure with high level of long-term performance growth and low level of financial volatility.The relationship between the betweenness centrality of supply chain networks and organizational resilience is examined empirically.On this basis,external government subsidies and internal innovation capability are selected to investigate the moderating effect on the above relationship.Furthermore,this paper argues that both external environment and internal capabilities should be taken into account when making internal governance and strategic decisions to enhance organizational resilience,and therefore the external government subsidies and internal innovation capabilities are selected to explore the moderating role of the above relationship.The results show that the betweenness centrality of enterprise supply chain network is an important driving force of organizational resilience,which is embodied in promoting long-term performance growth and smoothing financial fluctuations.The moderating effect of government subsidies on the relationship between the two is mainly reflected in the volatility dimension of organizational resilience.It means that government support can strengthen the inhibitory effect of betweenness centrality of supply chain network on corporate financial fluctuations.The moderating effect of corporate innovation capability on the relationship between the two is mainly reflected in the growth dimension of organizational resilience.It means that innovation capability can amplify the role of betweenness centrality of supply chain network in promoting the long-term performance development of enterprises.Based on social network theory,resource dependence theory and stakeholder theory,this paper explains and analyzes the empirical results.Based on the above results,this study believes that by improving the betweenness centrality of the supply chain network,enterprises can obtain necessary knowledge and information resources to improve organizational resilience,and then achieve long-term performance growth and stable development;at the same time,enterprises should fully coordinate external government subsidies and internal innovation capabilities of enterprises to continuously improve the level of organizational resilience;the government should carry out targeted subsidies that vary from enterprise to enterprise according to the actual situation,so as to strengthen the cultivation of enterprise organizational resilience.
