Under the dual background of digital economy era and knowledge economy era,knowledge,as the source of intellectual capital and innovation of manufacturing industry,is one of the important resources to promote the better development of manufacturing industry.Knowledge evolution is an important way for the manufacturing industry to actively respond to external risks,break through the "choke" technology problem,and also the only way to achieve industrial upgrading.Due to the popularity of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence,big data and industrial Internet,the organizational boundaries are increasingly open,and the place of knowledge evolution is gradually expanding from the past inside the enterprise to the scope of the innovation ecosystem.Exploring the impact of the manufacturing digital innovation ecosystem on knowledge evolution is of great significance for increasing knowledge assets,improving knowledge innovation levels,and competitiveness in the manufacturing industry.Based on this background,this paper puts forward two ways of knowledge evolution: knowledge inheritance and knowledge variation on the basis of sorting out and analyzing existing literature,and build a conceptual model of innovation subject,innovation resources and innovation environment on knowledge inheritance and knowledge variation.The panel data of 28 sub sectors of China’s manufacturing industry from 2013 to 2020 are used to measure variables such as innovation subject,innovation resources and innovation environment through entropy method,and the regulatory effect model and threshold effect model are used to empirically analyze the impact of innovation subject,innovation resources and innovation environment of the manufacturing digital innovation ecosystem on knowledge evolution,and digital empowerment is introduced as the regulatory variable and threshold variable,Analyze the role of digital empowerment in innovation subject,innovation resources,innovation environment and knowledge evolution.Research has found that the innovation subjects,innovation resources,and innovation environment of the digital innovation ecosystem in the manufacturing industry have a positive impact on the evolution of knowledge inheritance and knowledge variation,and digital empowerment plays a positive regulatory role in it.Moreover,there is a threshold effect based on digital empowerment in the process of knowledge evolution influenced by innovation resources and innovation environment,and there is a significant difference in the effect of threshold values and threshold effects.Digital empowerment has a single threshold effect in the impact of innovation resources on knowledge inheritance,innovation environment on knowledge inheritance,and innovation environment on knowledge variation.There is a double threshold effect in the impact of innovation resources on knowledge variation.
