Research On The Ecological Environment Effect Of Digital Economy

Under the dual background of high-quality development of economy and ecological environment,the rapid development of digital economy will inevitably play an important role in promoting and promoting the quality of ecological environment.Taking 273 prefecture-level cities in China from 2011 to 2019 as the research object,this paper studies the impact of digital economy on the quality of ecological environment,that is,the ecological environment effect of digital economy.Firstly,this paper uses the comprehensive evaluation method to comprehensively consider the development level of urban digital economy and the quality of ecological environment,and uses the entropy method to objectively empower the index,which is comprehensive,systematic and scientific.Specifically,first,this paper constructs an index evaluation system for the development level of digital economy in Chinese cities from the aspects of urban digital technology application,digital industry development scale,digital industry talent support and digital finance development level,adjusts and optimizes the calculation method of alternative variables such as digital industry talent support,and optimizes the index optimization to a certain extent.Second,this paper comprehensively examines the quality of urban ecological environment from the two dimensions of protection and threat of urban ecological environment,constructs a comprehensive evaluation system of urban ecological environment quality in China,and incorporates PM2.5 concentration and Co2 emissions into the comprehensive evaluation system of urban ecological environment quality,and carries out a certain degree of index innovation.Secondly,this paper uses three methods: literature research,empirical research and comparative analysis.Specifically,the literature research method runs through the whole process of theoretical research and empirical analysis,the comparative analysis method is mainly used for the analysis of regional heterogeneity,while the empirical research method refers to the empirical test and analysis of the ecological environment effect of the digital economy by using the two-way fixed-effect model.Finally,through theoretical analysis and empirical research,this paper finds that the improvement of the digital economy development level of cities will significantly promote the improvement of ecological environment quality,and this empirical result is also robust after using the two-stage instrumental variable method to remove the endogenous problems that may arise from the model.The level of regional economic development,human capital,government intervention and trade openness significantly positively affect the ecological environment quality of cities,while the level of government management significantly negatively affects the improvement of ecological environment quality.At the same time,this paper also finds that the optimization of urban industrial structure and the improvement of innovation ability are important intermediary mechanisms for the ecological and environmental effects of digital economy,but no significant impact is found in the process of investigating the mediating effect of enterprise growth ability.In addition,the analysis of regional heterogeneity and the test of regulatory effects are also carried out,and the results show that after controlling the influence of regional dummy variables,the impact of digital economy on ecological environment quality is still significantly positive,and regional variables play an important regulating role in it.This paper enriches the relevant research on digital economy and ecological environment,and provides a theoretical basis and practical basis for the high-quality development of ecological environment empowered by digital economy,which has certain theoretical and practical significance.
