As an important industrial economic corridor,the Yangtze River Economic Belt contributes greatly to economic growth.However,with the rapid industrial development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,it still faces environmental problems such as insufficient resource and environmental carrying capacity and insufficient green development,which is not conducive to sustainable economic development.At the same time,the Yangtze River Economic Belt,as a pilot demonstration zone of ecological civilization,is bound to take the road of green development,and how to effectively deal with the relationship between industrial development and the environment,and explore a road of industrial green development in line with the Yangtze River Economic Belt,is a key issue urgently needed to be solved.At the same time,in recent years,digital economy,with its characteristic advantages of interconnection and sharing,perception control,decision optimization and nearly zero cost,has broken the time-space restriction of resource allocation,promoted full market competition and industrial division optimization,improved resource allocation efficiency and reduced market distortion.It can be seen that digital economy,as a new engine to improve the quality and efficiency of our economy,plays a key role in the process of industrial green development and transformation.Whether the digital economy can promote the green development of industry and improve its green total factor productivity is of great practical significance for accelerating the sustainable development of industry and promoting the construction of new industrialization.Based on this,this paper takes 110 cities at prefecture level and above in the Yangtze River Economic Belt as the research object,and tries to discuss and answer the following questions:(1)What is the pattern of digital economy development among different regions in the Yangtze River economic belt,middle and lower reaches?(2)Under the dual requirements of economic development and ecological benefits,what is the development status of green industrial total factor productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,what is the main driving force,and what is the evolution trend in time and space?(3)If the development of digital economy can affect industrial green total factor productivity? What are the channels that indirectly affect industrial green total factor productivity? What is the mechanism?(4)Considering the current situation of such rapid development of digital economy,the development of digital economy may bring economies of scale and scope to industrial enterprises,but at the same time,will it bring more unexpected output and rebound effect to industrial green development? In other words,does digital economy have nonlinear influence on industrial green total factor productivity? At the same time,what is the effect of digital economy on industrial green total factor productivity under different resource allocation?(5)The Yangtze River Economic Belt spans different regions in the east,middle and west of China.How is the impact of different regions and different time periods? Based on the above problems,with the help of Stata,Max DEA,Arc GIS and other software,the main line of "theoretical analysis deduction → current situation characteristics description →empirical analysis test" was carried out.The findings are as follows:(1)The development level of digital economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is increasing year by year,but there is a big gap between cities,showing a cluster state with provincial capitals as growth poles spreading to the surrounding areas;By region,the development level of digital economy presents a basic pattern of downstream region > middle stream region > upstream region.(2)Using SBM-GML model to measure the industrial GTFP index,it is found that the technical progress index(TC)is greater than the technical efficiency index(EC)during the study period,and the growth trend of industrial GTFP index is consistent with the technical progress index,indicating that the driving force of industrial GTFP growth comes from technological progress;The industrial GTFP obtained by multiplicative index shows an increasing trend year by year,but fluctuates greatly between regions.By region,the industrial GTFP of the Yangtze River economic belt,middle and lower reaches increases year by year,but the technological progress and technical efficiency present a "divergent" form,indicating that industrial enterprises lack the learning and accumulation of institutional experience in the process of paying attention to technological innovation.Finally,through spatial-temporal change analysis,it is found that most urban industrial GTFP presents spatial aggregation characteristics in spatial dimension,and the overall trend is downstream region > middle region > upstream region.(3)The baseline regression results show that digital economy has a significant promoting effect on industrial green development.By replacing the core variables of digital economy,eliminating the samples of municipalities and provincial capitals,and the robustness test of change estimation methods,it is found that digital economy still has a promoting effect on industrial GTFP,which is consistent with the baseline regression conclusion,indicating that the results are reliable.(4)In order to explore the channels through which digital economy can promote industrial green total factor productivity,the three variables of industrial structure upgrading,external supervision and technological innovation are introduced respectively to construct the intermediary effect model,and it is found that digital economy can improve industrial GTFP through these three channels.(5)Digital economy has nonlinear and heterogeneous influence on industrial GTFP.Firstly,through the establishment of threshold regression model,it is found that there is a threshold value of digital economy’s promoting effect on industrial GTFP.When the development level of digital economy crosses the threshold value,the promoting effect on industrial GTFP will be stronger.At present,there is no rebound effect on industrial green total factor productivity.Secondly,from the perspective of the government and the market,the adjustment effect test shows that the enhancement of fiscal decentralization and marketization strengthens the promoting effect of digital economy on industrial GTFP,and the promoting effect of digital economy is greater under the role of market regulation.Finally,through the analysis of regional heterogeneity and time heterogeneity,it is found that the influence of digital economy on the efficiency of industrial green economy is significantly positive,but its promoting effect shows that the promoting effect of "downstream region > middle stream region >upstream region" in the 13 th Five-Year Plan period is greater than that in the 12 th Five-Year Plan period.Based on the above conclusions and facts,the following five countermeasures and suggestions are put forward:(1)vigorously promote the development of digital economy and strengthen the linkage effect of digital economy between regions;(2)Strengthen the digital application of industrial enterprises,enabling industrial enterprises to transform to the advanced level;(3)Use digital technology to strengthen environmental supervision and promote green development of industrial enterprises;(4)Strengthen the application of digital technology in industrial enterprises and promote their intensive development;(5)Improve the fiscal decentralization system and strengthen the role of market resources allocation.
