| As a major national strategic development region,the Yangtze River Economic Belt has become an important engine driving China’s economic growth,relying on its unique geographical advantages and natural endowments.To promote high-quality economic development has become the call of The Times,which requires the formation of new growth drivers and the role of total factor productivity in promoting economic growth.Therefore,how to improve total factor productivity has become the key.With the continuous development of digital economy,it has become a powerful new driving force to boost economic development.Therefore,this paper takes the Yangtze River Economic Belt as the research object to discuss the impact of digital economy on total factor productivity.First of all,based on previous studies,this paper summarizes the connotation of digital economy and total factor productivity,and elaborates relevant researches.Meanwhile,it analyzes the influence mechanism of digital economy on total factor productivity from the theoretical level,and proposes relevant hypotheses: Digital economy can promote the growth of total factor productivity through scientific and technological innovation.Meanwhile,financial scale and talent agglomeration are conducive to strengthening the promoting effect of digital economy on total factor productivity.Secondly,the digital economy development level and total factor productivity of 108 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt during 2011-2019 were measured by the principal component analysis method and the Dea-Malmquist index method,and the measured data were analyzed by the simple average method.The results show that during 2011-2019,The overall development level of digital economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has been on the rise,but the total factor productivity has obvious fluctuations.Finally,on the basis of the measured data,the fixed effect model,the adjustment model and the intermediary effect model are used to conduct empirical test and analysis on the panel data of 108 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The results show that the development of digital economy can significantly promote the improvement of urban total factor productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and the enabling mechanism has obvious heterogeneity.At the same time,the empirical results verify the hypothesis that digital economy can promote the improvement of total factor productivity through the intermediary variable of scientific and technological innovation,and also verify the hypothesis that the development of financial scale and talent agglomeration are conducive to strengthening the promoting effect of digital economy on total factor productivity.Therefore,we should make full use of the advantages of the digital economy and release its innovation-driven effect.At the same time,we should improve the level of financial development,improve various facilities,build the construction of "talent highland",give play to the regulating role of financial scale and talent concentration,so as to promote the improvement of the total factor productivity of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and achieve high-quality development of the national economy. |
