Research On The Evaluation Of China’s Tourism Development Quality And Its Path Selection

Improving the quality of tourism development in the new development pattern is a major practical need for economic and social development.This paper takes 31 provinces in China as examples,evaluates the quality of tourism development from the dimension of time and space,and discusses the influencing factors of tourism development quality,which is of great significance for improving the quality of tourism development.On the basis of defining the connotation of tourism development quality,this paper constructs an evaluation index system from five aspects: tourism resource quality,tourism service quality,tourism social quality,tourism economic quality,and tourism environment quality.These methods such as the improved “longitudinal and vertical” pull-up method,traditional Markov chain,spatial Markov chain,and GIS technology are used to measure the quality level of tourism development in various provinces in China,and comprehensively evaluate them from two dimensions of time and space.With the help of spatial econometric models,the factors affecting the quality of tourism development in China’s provinces and their spillover effects are analyzed to provide a basis for path selection to improve the quality of tourism development.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)From the perspective of time dimension,during the research period,the average values of the comprehensive evaluation index of China’s tourism development quality show a fluctuating upward trend,and the quality of tourism development at different levels has strong stability.The higher the tourism development quality level,the stronger the stability.(2)From the perspective of spatial dimension,the quality of tourism development has strong spatial agglomeration and spatial interaction effects.The high-quality provinces are mainly concentrated in the east,the middle-high-quality provinces are mainly concentrated in the middle,and the low-quality provinces are mainly concentrated in the west.(3)From the national level,the level of economic development and location conditions have a negative impact on the quality of tourism development in neighboring provinces,while the endowment of tourism resources,industrial structure,and degree of opening to the outside world have a positive impact on the quality of tourism development in neighboring provinces.(4)From a regional perspective,the level of economic development and the degree of opening to the outside world in the western region have a positive impact on the quality of tourism development in the surrounding provinces,but the tourism resource endowment in the western region has a negative impact on the quality of tourism development in the surrounding provinces;the central region has a negative impact on the quality of tourism development in the surrounding provinces;the location conditions and the degree of informatization in the central region have a negative impact on the quality of tourism development in the surrounding provinces.
