Comparative Study On The Coupling Relationship Between Industrial Development And Urbanization Carrying Capacity Of Cities In Yunnan And Guizhou

With the rapid advancement of urbanization,cities have become the main places where people live.The urbanization carrying capacity of a city is limited,and its limited carrying capacity determine a threshold for the urbanization carrying capacity of a city.The industrial structure is an important hub for coordinating urban resources,environment,economy and other elements.The healthy development of the industry is conducive to providing a source of funds for the improvement of urbanization carrying capacity.There is a deep connection between industrial development and urbanization carrying capacity.Urbanization carrying capacity is the foundation of industrial development,and industrial development can improve urbanization carrying capacity.The coordinated development of industrial development and urbanization carrying capacity can promote urban development.A key factor for high-quality,sustainable development.It is significant to discuss how to promote the coordinated relationship between industrial development and urbanization carrying capacity.This paper expounds the mechanism of action between industrial development and urbanization carrying capacity,selects prefecture-level cities in Yunnan and Guizhou as the study case cities,and characterizes industrial development with the two dimensions of industrial rationalization and industrial upgrading.The five dimensions of urbanization carrying capacity,economic carrying capacity,public service carrying capacity and infrastructure carrying capacity are used to characterize the carrying capacity of urbanization,and conduct coupling coordination research.By calculating the data of 14 cities in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces from 2011 to2019,this paper conducts a spatiotemporal evolution analysis and comparative study on the industrial development changes,urbanization carrying capacity changes,and their coupled development in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces.The main conclusions are as follows: First,the comprehensive evaluation value of industrial development in 14 cities in Yunnan and Guizhou fluctuated from 2011 to 2019,and the overall trend decreased slightly.The advanced level of provincial industries is higher than that of Yunnan Province.Second,the evaluation value of the urbanization carrying capacity of the two provinces increased first,and then fluctuated around 0.38.The urbanization carrying capacity of Yunnan Province was significantly higher than that of Guizhou Province.Third,the coupling coordination value between the industrial development and the urbanization carrying capacity of the two provinces did not change much and was at a relatively low level of coupling.The lag in the urbanization carrying capacity was the main factor limiting the improvement of the coupling coordination between the two systems.The coordination value is not much different.Finally,it puts forward development suggestions for cities with different coupling and coordinated development types from a micro perspective,and puts forward urban development suggestions from a public policy perspective combined with the individual and common problems of the two provinces at the macro level.
