Study On Coupling Coordination Degree Between Human Capital And Urban Carrying Capacity In Anhui Province

New urbanization in China, which directs the development of urbanization, serves as China’s new growth engine and an important method of expanding its domestic demand. Human capital is the key guarantee for the successful completion of new urbanization, which decides the levels of development of new urbanization as well. Urban Carrying Capacity (UCC) is the cornerstone of the advancement of new urbanization, which also decides development potential of new urbanization. Anhui Province, in central China, is with weaker economic foundation and development level than developed provinces. There are some problems which pose a threat to coordinated development between human capital and UCC of Anhui Province. Therefore, a deeper analysis of the above is not only useful for advance of human capital and UCC, but also has certain reference values to similar studies in less-developed areas.First of all, influencing factors in human capital and UCC of Anhui Province are extracted respectively from relevant literature and theories on human capital, carrying capacity and coupling coordination, in order to build one assessment system of the two systems. And the scores of the two systems in 2004～2013 are figured out by CRITIC (Criteria Importance Through Inter-criteria Correlation) to analyze their developing processes and lay a solid foundation for the follow-up study. Secondly, according to the requirement of coordination theory, gray correlated degrees about indexes between human capital system and UCC system are utilized to ensure that the two systems are interrelated and interdependent and to offer a feasible basis for the study on coupling coordinated development. In the third place, coupling coordination degree function between human capital system and UCC system is built on related models, and the degrees about the ten years are figured out. Therefore, regression analysis method is adopted to study the relationship between the coupling coordination degree and several typical indexes. At last, based on the results of these studies and opportunities and challenges faced by Anhui Province, some suggestions and recommendations are put forward to increasing the level of coupling coordination degree between human capital system and UCC system even further in Anhui Province.
