Abstract/Summary:
High-quality economic development is a scientific judgment made by our party based on my country’s main social contradictions and basic national conditions, and it is also an inevitable requirement to achieve sustainable economic and social development. The Yangtze River Economic Belt has the advantages of abundant resources, advantageous location, dense industries, concentrated population and dense urban areas, and is an important pillar of my country’s economic and social development. This paper firstly reviews the theoretical literature related to high-quality economic development, and on the basis of understanding its connotation, selects 31 indicators in combination with the five development concepts to establish an evaluation system, and introduces the time series improved entropy method to measure the Yangtze River economy from 2005 to 2019.With high-quality economic development level, based on the calculation results to evaluate its advantages and disadvantages from different research perspectives;secondly, the dynamic evolution characteristics of high-quality economic development differences are studied through Kernel density estimation, and the Dagum Gini coefficient decomposition method is further used to study the sources of regional differences;thirdly A regression model is established to analyze the influencing factors of high-quality economic development. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)According to the calculation results of the overall evaluation index(Chapter 3),the overall level of high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is relatively low,but it shows a continuous upward trend;according to the calculation results of the first-level evaluation index(Chapter 3),the regional green development,The development trend of sharing is good, the degree of regional openness is relatively stable, the regional innovation capacity needs to be strengthened, and the problem of regional development imbalance is prominent.(2)The high-quality economic development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is unbalanced, showing the characteristics of a stepped distribution from east to west.Specifically, the economic high-quality development index of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River is the largest, followed by the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River is the smallest, but the overall trend shows an upward trend;further through cluster analysis, the provinces and cities are classified as leading, catching up,and backward regions.(Based on 2019 data),it is concluded that all leading regions are located in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River;all backward regions are located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River;all provinces and cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River are classified as catching-up regions. In addition, the first-level development index of the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River is also quite different.Specifically, the numerical gap between the five major development indices in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River is relatively small, while the numerical gap between the five major development indices in the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River is relatively large.(3)According to the Kernel density estimation results(Chapter 4),the difference in highquality economic development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has been shrinking, and there is no polarization in the region;the development difference between the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River is basically the same as the Yangtze River Economic Belt;Continue to shrink, and the polarization phenomenon in the region gradually disappears.(4)According to the calculation results of the Dagum Gini coefficient(Chapter 4),the intra-regional differences in the Yangtze River Economic Belt are the lower, upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River from large to small;the inter-regional differences from large to small are upstream and downstream, middle and lower reaches, and upper Differences between midstream.According to the decomposition results of the Dagum Gini coefficient(Chapter 4),inter-regional differences are the main reason for the differences in the high-quality economic development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and intra-regional differences are the secondary reason, and the differences caused by the overlap between samples have less impact;2005-2019 The average contribution rate of the three major differences in the year is 76.61%,19.83% and 3.56% in descending order.(5)Government intervention, human capital, consumption, infrastructure, and marketization are the driving factors for the high-quality economic development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, but they show heterogeneity in the three regions.Among them, human capital and infrastructure can drive the high-quality economic development of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River;infrastructure and marketization can drive the high-quality economic development of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, while environmental regulation restricts the high-quality economic development of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River;consumption, infrastructure, human capital, market Industrialization can drive high-quality economic development in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Finally, according to the research conclusions, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to promote the high-quality economic development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt from the aspects of strengthening innovation drive, promoting integration, coordinating market and government relations, improving infrastructure, stimulating consumption, and enhancing human capital.
