Study On The Development Of Family Farms In Ruyuan County

Family farms are one of the new agricultural business entities in China’s modern agriculture.Both the rural revitalization strategy and the No.1 Central Document proposed to focus on cultivating family farms,reflecting the important position of family farms in the current agricultural structure adjustment and development of agricultural modernization in China.In this context,Ruyuan County actively promotes the development of family farms.Since the first family farm was registered for business in 2014,the number has been increasing year by year.By 2020,Ruyuan County had developed 242 family farms,inhabiting a batch of family farms with moderate operation scale,which has achieved the improvement of economic benefits and promoted the prosperous of local agricultural and rural economic.However,the development level of family farms in Ruyuan County is unbalanced.This article takes Ruyuan County as the research object,through in-depth investigation and statistics,analyzes the issues existing in family farm’s development and proposes countermeasures and suggestions.At the same time,providing guidelines for the development of family farms in other regions.The research indicates the following problems in the development of Ruyuan County’s family farms.First,land transfer is difficult and scale operation is restricted.Second,development funds are insufficient to satisfy business demands.Third,technical talents are scarce and the professional management is not in high level;Fourth,the business model and products are single and the sales channels are narrow.Lastly,brand building is inadequate and core competitiveness is lacking.Aiming at the problems in the development of family farms in Ruyuan County,this article learns from domestic well-developed family farms,and puts forward suggestions for Ruyuan County’s family farms.First,the authority should improve the construction of the land transfer service system.Second,it is necessary to broaden financing channels to guarantee stable and rapid development.Third,strengthen professional education and training to improve personnel technical level.Fourth,innovate business models and expand sales channels;Fifth,focus on the brand and improve market competitiveness.
