Research On Interactive Video Design Method Based On Heart Flow Theory

As an emerging digital media art,interactive video,supported by advanced Internet technology and influenced by postmodernist cultural trends,has been online and developed on major video platforms in China since 2019.On the one hand,interactive video inherits traditional aesthetics and the laws of art creation,on the other hand,it forms a unique art form and language and raises new questions in the categories of art creation and art appreciation.Based on the theory of mind flow,this thesis explores the interactive creation grammar of interactive video from the perspective of user psychology,trying to provide ideas for interactive video creation to improve user retention rate and to supplement the systematic guidance theory for interactive video creation.Firstly,this thesis explores the definition,characteristics and development history of mind flow theory and interactive video through qualitative research,and finds that there is a possibility of combining the two at the theoretical level.Secondly,through data analysis methods,such as variance analysis and multiple linear regression analysis,this thesis finds that the spatial construction,content settings,and interaction modes in interactive videos significantly affect users’ mind-flow experience.Based on the above two aspects,it is proved that the mind flow theory can be used to guide the creation of interactive videos in the dimensions of space,content and interaction.Through the above qualitative analysis and data analysis results,this thesis proposes the strategy of interactive video space construction,content setting and interaction mode based on the mind flow theory.The interactive video space construction part proposes the main points of mental space and symbolic space construction;the content production part proposes the principles of goal design,feedback setting,and challenge design;the interaction mode part explores the interaction mode of interactive video in terms of human-computer interaction and interpersonal interaction.Based on the above creative revelation,the interactive creation practice,"Silver Desert",was completed to test the rationality and operability of interactive video design practice based on the mind flow theory.
