Family education plays are a branch of family ethics plays.Compared with other family ethics plays,family education plays pay more attention to the education of children.In recent years,many family-themed TV dramas are rarely presented in the form of series.The small series education trilogy launched by Ningmeng Pictures--three TV series,Little Separation,Little Joy and Little Sacrifice(hereinafter referred to as the "small series trilogy" or "trilogy")are films and television works that show the real social problems in China with certain artistic narrative techniques.The content of the works involves social issues from early childhood to primary school education,primary school entrance examination,high school entrance examination,college entrance examination,divorced families,the relationship between husband and wife and their children,and diversified parent-child relationship modes,covering almost every stage of the education of Chinese minors at present.Therefore,with the content close to reality and appropriate narrative creation,the small series trilogy has gained the audience rating and hot discussion in the same period after its premiere,becoming a phenomenon family education TV series,which to some extent can represent the main style of the popular parenting TV series in recent years.The author focuses on the parent-child relationship in the parenting narrative,which is the main concern of the trilogy,through text analysis,and then combines with the educational problems and reality of the current society reflected in the drama to analyze the educational concept and cultural connotation expressed in the trilogy.This paper is divided into six parts.In the first part,the introduction explains the research background,research significance and research methods one by one,and summarizes the literature review of narratology in family dramas and parent-child relationship.The second part divides the narrative categories of parent-child relationship in the small series trilogy,and divides the narrative categories of parent-child relationship into three types: control and repression,absence and rebellion,harmony and openness.Secondly,compared with family ethics dramas of previous years,the focus of narrative conflict in the trilogy and the shaping of characters have changed to some extent.The drama conflict mainly focuses on the parent-child relationship of different families.The author will summarize and analyze the parent-child conflict caused by single-parent families,intergenerational estrangement and economic gap involved in the trilogy.The third part analyzes the narrative structure and narrative perspective of the small series trilogy.The three dramas are all group dramas,and the main characters are members of several main families.The non-focused perspective and multi-linear crossover structure are used to enable the audience to grasp the relationship between the members of several families from an omniscient perspective in the plot against the reality.In the cross clues friction out more plot,in the typical character image and parent-child relationship,face the sensitive topic of education,arouse the audience’s emotional resonance.The fourth part will focus on the language and sound expression,space expression and action expression in the trilogy to analyze the narrative research of parent-child relationship model in each family.TV series will elaborate and express the plot of the TV series through some specific narrative techniques.In the plot of the TV series,the story content can be intuitively understood through the characters’ lines and language.In specific scenes,background music can also heighten the atmosphere to achieve the story effect.In addition,the layout of space and the depiction of characters’ actions can also express characters’ personality,parent-child relationship,psychological activities and other information from the side.In the fifth part,as the contrast between image and reality,the author will focus on the analysis of the social mirror reflected in the image.The author will analyze the realistic mirror of education internalization and middle class anxiety reflected in the three plays and its causes at the macro and micro level,and study the potential text motivation and cultural psychology behind the narration through the analysis of parent-child relationship narration.
