Abstract/Summary:
As a public cultural service institution,the museum carries a profound historical heritage and rich cultural connotation,and is an important position for the public to conduct scientific and cultural education and improve ideological and moral quality.Education has become the primary function of museums,and major museums have developed educational activities in various forms and rich contents for audiences of all ages in museums to meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people,which is a new historical opportunity and challenge for museums in the new era.The educational activities of museums should pay attention to both "living" and "moving"."Living" focuses on cultural relics living,which means to make the cultural relics displayed in the display case come alive,make the historical stories behind them come alive,and let the audience better understand the historical significance they contain;The second is "moving",which pays more attention to making the audience move,that is,using experiential and interactive methods to encourage the audience to interact with museum exhibitions and cultural relics,encourage interaction between the audience and the audience,enhance the audience’s hands-on experience,and use modern science and technology and high-tech multimedia interactive technology to enhance the audience’s sense of experience and interactivity.With the progress of the times,the active role played by museums in the education of young people has been paid more and more attention by the museum community and the education community.As the main object of museum education,young people are the most stable and largest group of visitors,museums should plan,design and implement educational activities that conform to their physical and mental development and individual uniqueness,build a museum education platform,and give full play to the status and role of museums as the "second classroom" for teenagers.Therefore,this paper takes the educational activities planned and implemented by the Taiyuan Museum for the majority of teenagers as the research object,and as a comprehensive museum in the provincial capital,it has certain typical characteristics in the development of youth education activities.Firstly,the youth education activities carried out by the Taiyuan Museum in 2022 were investigated and statistical,and the classification and research were carried out according to the different places where the education was implemented to obtain the overall overview of the youth education activities of the museum.Then,the typical educational activity cases are analyzed to obtain the characteristics of the library’s youth education activities.Then,by comparing with the excellent educational activities of other museums in China,the problems and shortcomings in the planning and implementation of the same type of educational activities of Taiyuan Museum were analyzed.Finally,corresponding suggestions for improvement are given for the problem.In addition,Taiyuan Museum belongs to the category of small and medium-sized museums according to its collection resources,human resources,financial resources,etc.,and hopes that this research can provide reference and reference for small and medium-sized museums of the same type in China when organizing and planning youth education activities.
