| With the rapid development of science and technology and the diversity of user needs,media communication has undergone great changes,among which mobile short videos are widely welcomed by the public as a new communication tool with the advantages of low threshold,easy dissemination,fragmentation and strong sociality.At the same time,short videos are also being commonly used in various library services,but in the process of short video services in public libraries,there are problems such as uneven operational effectiveness and poor user interactivity,which prevent libraries from successfully carrying out short video services and further improving their service efficiency.As a result,this paper conducts an in-depth study on the relevant paths of short video services in public libraries in China based on the current situation of domestic and foreign research and a survey of the basic situation of short video services in public libraries in China,as well as an analysis of short video users’ needs,based on the existing theories.That is,first,the research results of short video services in libraries at home and abroad are sorted out through literature research,the concepts of short video,short video services in public libraries,and user experience are defined,and the user demand theory and the new public service theory applied in this paper are elaborated.Second,using the case study method and semi-structured interview method,the current situation of short video services in public libraries in China is investigated and analyzed from both online surveys and librarian interviews,and the existing short video service paths are clarified in conjunction with relevant theories.In addition,the questionnaire survey technique is utilized to analyze and summarize user demand for short library videos in conjunction with the comment word cloud of short library videos in each library,followed by the study of targeted path optimisation.Finally,based on the study findings,appropriate proposals for the short video service of public libraries in China are made in four parts: service subject,service content,service form,and operation. |
