Research On The Participation Of Social Forces In The Construction Of University Library Information Resources

The rapid increase of information resources and the incommensurate increase of funds,buildings,personnel and collections of university libraries have become the reasons restricting the development of university libraries.The participation of social forces in the construction of library information resources is an important way for the library to relieve the pressure of funds,enrich the collection,optimize the document information service and increase the communication with the outside world.It will help the library to fulfill its mission of collecting,preserving and disseminating literature,and also expand its social influence and enhance its popularity and reputation.Through literature review,network investigation,case analysis and other methods,this paper analyzes the research on social forces’ participation in the construction of university library information resources,and explores the participation of social forces in the construction of university library information resources from the overall perspective of the construction of information resources.The specific contents are as follows:Firstly,from the main concepts and basic theories of the paper,the paper introduces the theories involved,and analyzes the significance of social forces participating in the construction of university library information resources.Second,from aspects such as culture,way of thinking,political and economic analysis of social forces to participate in the university library information resource construction of motivation: the realization of social forces to pursue their own value,social force for promoting social influence,social force response national policy,and expounds the social forces to participate in the university library information resource construction at home and abroad and the practice of development.Thirdly,five modes of social forces participating in the construction of university library information resources are obtained by sorting out and analyzing the data: resource aggregation mode,principalagent mode,voluntary service mode,co-construction and sharing mode,and project cooperation mode.Fourthly,it analyzes the main difficulties and causes of social forces participating in the construction of university library information resources.Found that social forces to participate in the university library information resource construction of the relevant rules and regulations to be perfect,trust in the libraries of colleges and universities social forces to ascend,for social forces to participate in the university library information resource construction quality control needs to be strengthened,information resources construction of university library management needs to be optimized,and the causes of these difficulties: The construction of information resources in university library is strict,the coordination between government leading and social participation is difficult,and the enthusiasm of social participation is insufficient.Fifthly,in view of the difficulties faced and the causes of the difficulties,the author puts forward to further improve the rules and regulations from the aspects of law and policy,try to coordinate the relations between all parties,and gradually strengthen the quality control of the information resource construction involving social forces.On the premise of adhering to the policy of resource construction,the university library should appropriately expand the scope of participation.University libraries should optimize information resource construction and management from establishing clear donation system,improving volunteer management,promoting social forces’ participation in information resource construction,and improving information technology conditions.
