As one of the three basic functions of radar,multi-target tracking plays an extremely important role in localization, interception and strike.Modern radar systems, such as phased array radar and C-MIMO radar, have the characteristics of beam shortcut,multi-function and multi-channel,and their underlying hardware consists of an array containing antennas and transceiver component units, which have the physical conditions for array-level resource management. The reasonable method of radar array-level resource management is related to the performance of formed beams, which has important research value and significance for improving the target tracking task execution capability. This thesis takes the target tracking task as the entry point and studies the array-level resource management methods applicable to phased-array radar and cmimo, respectively, and the main work is specified as follows:1.For the resource management problem of target tracking using radar systems,a typical radar system model is introduced, the basic principles of target tracking are described, target tracking performance metric is derived, and a closed-loop cognitive tracking framework applicable to typical radar systems is summarized on this basis, and the feasibility of this basic framework as a radar resource management method is verified.2.Aiming at the problem that the resource management methods of phased array radar are mostly limited to beam-level parameter adjustment, the system model under the principle of time division and beamforming of phased array radar is derived, the resource management problem with phased array radar dwell time, array element position selection and weighting coefficients as variables is established, and a multi-objective genetic algorithm-based solution is given to solve the phased array radar element-level resource management problem. And the effectiveness of the proposed method in improving the tracking accuracy compared with the beam-level resource management method is verified by simulation experiments.3.Aiming at the problem of disconnection between cmimo radar transmit beampattern design and target tracking task,a cmimo radar system model including transmit gain beampattern is derived,a resource management problem of C-MIMO radar with array element position selection and transmit waveform correlation matrix as variables is established, two resource management strategies are proposed to minimize tracking error and array element consumption, respectively.Based on the idea of convex relaxation and variable substitution, solutions are given for two proposed problems for the cmimo radar array-level resource management, and finally, the effectiveness of the two strategies in improving tracking accuracy and reducing resource consumption is verified by simulation experiments, respectively.
