In recent years, with the rapid growing of technology and weaponry, the modern radar detection environment has become more and more complicated. It is difficult for a single-base radar to continuously track the modern flying target, especially long-haul flying target.Therefore,multi-base radar system(MRS)is getting more and more attention. In the study of using MRS redundant information to improve tracking performance,it is proved that MRS-based target tracking performance is related to many factors such as the number of radars in system?its transmit power and so on.In theory, the more the number of radars included in the MRS and the higher the transmit power, the better the target tracking performance. However,in the actual implementation of the task, the target tracking performance obtained by exhaustion of all the radar system resources may exceed the tracking performance required in the task and cause unnecessary waste of resources.Thence, how to make the MRS dynamically coordinate the radar numbers and launch parameters of radars in system and then save the radar system resources as much as possible under the condition of completing the tracking task, which will be an important research direction. In this thesis, considering different MRS and different radar resources, with the condition of completing target tracking tasks, the algorithm of saving radar resources is studied as follows:1.Focusing on how to control radar resources in multi-base radar target tracking, the basic principles of resource management and control in target tracking of MRS are studied, including the design of mathematical optimization model?the criterion of tracking performance the Bayesian Cramer-Rao lower bound(BCRLB)and so on.And the closed-loop basic block diagram of resource management and control lays a theoretical foundation about the research on multi-base radar resource management and control algorithm for target tracking tasks.2.Aiming at the problem of how to minimize the cost function of system resources under MRS,a resource control algorithm based on passive MRS is proposed.Compared with the traditional resource allocation considering only the optimal detection performance, this node resource control algorithm can not only complete the system tracking task, but also use the least radar in the system to participate in the tracking task.A heuristic algorithm is proposed for solving the NP-Hard mathematical optimization problem established in the node resource control algorithm.Compared with the exhaustive algorithm, the simulation data proves that the heuristic algorithm has the ability to quickly solve the problem under the condition of ensuring the accuracy.3.Aiming at the problem of how to save the radar power and the beam resources simultaneously under the MRS,an active MRS power and beam scheduling algorithm based on the criterion of the minimized system total power is proposed. At the same time, the joint radar and beam scheduling algorithm based on the best tracking performance is also studied. In contrast, the simulation data proves that the former has the practicality of saving radar power and beam resources. The above proposed algorithms and solutions are proved their validity and feasibility through simulation data.
