With the development of electronic technology and the complexity of electromagnetic environment, the radar is developing towards adaptive,multi-functional.The adaptive beam scheduling can effectively improve the performance of radar system, and it can reduce system resource consumption and improve system performance by reasonably configuring radar related parameters.Radar beam scheduling is reasonable distribution of radar beam direction, the beam irradiation time and the energy of the beam radiation, beam scheduling in target tracking for phased array radar can be from two aspects respectively which is single beam and multi-beam scheduling,it needs to find an optimal scheduling strategy, can not only ensure the accuracy of the target tracking, and can reduce the beam of target tracking based on resources. This paper mainly studies the tracking resource management of radar. The main research content contains the following three aspects:1.The relationship model between radar emission waveform and tracking accuracy has been studied, and the thesis designs the beam scheduling method of single radar tracking single target. This method sets expected tracking accuracy of target firstly, joints waveform selection based on minimum mean square error criterion,by selecting the waveforms and beam irradiation time,to make the actual covariance approach expected covariance, and then realizes the joint scheduling of beam and waveform.Simulations results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, which not only has better tracking performance, but also saves the radar beam resources.2.In order to further improve the beam dispatching efficiency of the single radar tracking multiple targets,a joint control method of covariance and target threat is proposed to optimize the beam allocation.Based on the distance of the target, radial velocity, acceleration, heading and other motion status information, the model adopts analytic hierarchy process to determine the target threat level, and then combines with a target tracking covariance to determined target priority, realizes the beam scheduling in search and track mode. The simulation results show that the algorithm improves the tracking performance of the target and the efficiency of beam dispatching.3.In multi radar multi-target tracking system, most of the multi-beam distribution is based on the sufficient beam resources,on the premise of limited beam resources, this paper proposes an adaptive multi-beam allocation algorithm. The algorithm firstly sets theexpected covariance of each target, and predict the target covariance based on the sensor tracking the target at the last moment, and chooses the target which covariance doesn't meet the expectation value;again on the basis of the minimal radiation power of the radar detecting a target, select the sensor with minimum radiation power for each target, and determines the distribution of the sensor and the target in the next moment, achieves the multi-beam scheduling. The simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively save the beam resources under the premise of satisfying the target tracking accuracy.
