Multi-target tracking technology is widely used in the military and civil fields,playing a pivotal role in missile interception,early warning and penetration,battlefield real-time monitoring,air traffic control,drone piloting,ground human body tracking and surveillance of maritime vessels.With the trend of target diversification,environmental complexity and task diversification in multi-target tracking tasks,it is necessary to scientifically and efficiently manage radar system resources to match radar resources with the whole task load,under the limited radar system resources.Focusing on the problem that current research on radar resource management algorithm deviates from practical application scenarios and lacks comprehensive and scientific measurement indicators,this thesis studied the radar resource management algorithm for the multi-target tracking task,aiming at refining the multi-target tracking model and formulating the criterion used to measure the global multi-target tracking quality.The key technical challenges of this thesis lie in the construction of multi-target tracking model and the establishment of global multi-target tracking quality criterion using different tracking indicators.In order to solve the above technical problems,the following content is completed:1.In order to establish the multi-target tracking task model,the impact of different modules in multi-target tracking task model on tracking performance is analyzed,and the missing part of the previous tracking model is refined.2.The manifestation of tracking performance of the multi-target tracking task is analyzed.According to the analyzing results,the corresponding performance evaluation and optimization index is designed,which can be used to evaluate and optimize the precision level and cardinal level of radar system's tracking performance.3.Cost functions of different structures and optimization guidelines are analyzed.According to characteristics of different cost function,a radar resource management algorithm based on overall multi-target tracking quality is proposed.This algorithm can flexibly allocate resource,adapting to different target tracking environment,by easily adjusting the related parameter.4.Target residual effect on tracking performance is analyzed,according which the multi-target tracking task model affected by the detection results is refined.The performance optimization index of radar system's tracking performance is extended to non-ideal detection condition.Based on the extended performance optimization index,a radar resource management algorithm for target missing detection is proposed.The radar resource management algorithm based on overall multi-target tracking quality proposed in this thesis can effectively improve the overall multi-target tracking quality,and better adapt to the situation of abundant targets and limited system resources than the resource management algorithm based on MinMax criterion.The algorithms mentioned above are tested by simulations,which confirm that the proposed algorithms can be used to solve the radar resource management problem in multi-object tracking tasks,and effectively improve the multi-target tracking performance.
