Against the background of the new technological revolution,political communication methods were increasingly diversified.At the same time,the new means has brought about by technological changes have given audiences more opportunities to express their words and constantly increased the ways and channels for Internet users to make their voices heard.In recent years,political communication has increasingly become a more important part of national strategy,providing important support for improving the country’s image,shaping public opinion and conveying values.Therefore,the research on this issue was urgent and necessary.With the development of short videos,pop-ups,as audience discourse carriers,carry audiences’ views and emotions and become typical of daily communication practices.In order to understand the characteristics of audiences in political communication practices on new media platforms and effectively improve the effect of political communication,this paper takes pop-ups as the object of study.The author has took participatory culture theory as the entry adopted the textual analysis and participatory observation methods.The pop-ups of the U.S.and Chinese issue works in the "The Video Studio" on Bilibili were selected as samples for the study.The study focused on the characteristics of the pop-ups in Python.The study found that,in terms of the content characteristics of the pop-ups,they has showed the characteristics of multiple discourse expressions,the tendency of playful entertainment expressions.In the social interaction dimension,the interaction between producers and audiences builds a good "teacher-student relationship";in the interaction between audiences and texts,text reconstruction and metaphorical rhetoric has become the key elements of text interaction.In the interaction dimension between audiences,netizens have created collective memory by building group identity and imaginary community.In addition,the study has found that pop-ups,as a new text carrier,also suffer from obvious emotional polarization,excessive information redundancy,and insufficient expression guidance.Therefore,this study has proposed relevant suggestions for improving audience media literacy in four dimensions.It has enhanced agenda-setting power,played the role of opinion leaders,strengthened media literacy education,and innovating publicity models.As the dimensions of online public space participation has continued to expand,the Internet changed the political power structure.Internet users has expressed their views on political issues based on pop-ups and build a new type of political expression.The development of pop-ups was the result of individual media empowerment,which has transformed the audience’s "rights" into "power".Through the study of pop-ups,the author also has hoped to place content reproduction in the broader theory and practiced of participatory culture,analyzed its impact on society,culture and politics in the digital media environment.It has proposed relevant strategies for understanding audience psychology and rationally guiding them to rational expression.At the same time,this study also hopes to provide practical strategy suggestions for the effectiveness of communication on political communication issues by mainstream media and government.
