With the rapid development of communication technology,the audience is no longer a simple receiver of information.It is not even a media consumer in the traditional sense.Under the new media era,they are more willing to be the sharers and creators of information.This series of changes has promoted the change of media culture: traditional passive media culture is gradually shifting to a participatory culture that focuses more on creating and sharing.Under the practice of participatory culture,the barrage video site represented by Bilibili is a typical representative of the current participatory culture.The participatory culture is a complex field,and the dynamic linkages between participants have also given birth to a new type of subculture,the barrage culture.As the largest barrage video website in China,Bilibili is also a major gathering place for online youth subculture.The participation of a large number of individuals on the barrage video website reflects the creativity of the audience,and the audience has more and more control over the content production.It will stimulate the innovative aspects of social culture.Under the participatory cultural practice,we focused on the formation and development of the barrage video website,especially the content creation process of the barrage video website,and better explained the significance of the current participatory cultural practice.This article mainly uses the literature research method and participatory observation,analyzes the barrage video website as an important carrier of the barrage culture,and observes how the user at the B station as the main body of the barrage culture is formed under the participatory culture system.The unique new subculture,the barrage culture,and how these subjects use the practice of participatory culture to expand the connotations of this subculture to conduct rational thinking.
