| In the internet,"meme" has gradually become a new communication language for the younger generation as a hidden language with circle attributes and slang. It is not only a widely used language text in cyberspace, but also a unique subculture phenomenon to create and play with memes. This article takes the "meme" in the game circle as the research object, and approaches it from the perspective of internet language, using critical discourse analysis as the analytical framework.Based on the three-dimensional framework of "text analysis," "discourse practice analysis," and "social practice analysis," it examines the textual characteristics, content presentation, and underlying real-world factors of "meme".In the aspect of text analysis,it mainly examines the word formation and grammar of the text,in order to answer the question "what meaning is produced by ’meme’".It is found that the expression characteristics of "terrier" mainly show the characteristics of "biased naming","nominalization","excessive lexicalization" and "metaphor".Although "terrier" does not conform to the norms of daily language use,it has distinct contextualized semantic characteristics, realizing the projection of the cognitive attitude and emotional value of the discourse subject. From the perspective of grammar, the game "terrier" presents the semantic generalization from "logical semantics" to "popular semantics",as well as the free expression of graphic box filling, which makes the reproduction of "terrier" contain the subject’s experience and emotions. In terms of discourse practice,it examines how the subject intervenes in the production and consumption of the text, how the text is incorporated into the subject’s discourse system, and answers the question "how does playing ’meme’ produce meaning".It is found that in the process of subject selection and regulation formation, the discourse goes through subject identification and collective construction, completes the production of the discourse symbol system, realizes the text poaching, and the individual realizes the self-personality display through stylized expression, and realizes the joke on the mainstream by replacing the network symbol into reality, creating the media wonder of the discourse. At the same time, the group takes "meme" as the discourse division and constructs the circle fence with slang as the code.Individuals shuttle back and forth among multiple circles, and the subculture circle shows a trend of "tribalization".The analysis level of social practice is an in-depth exploration of the interaction mechanism between power relations, discourse, society and ideology on the basis of text analysis and social practice analysis.Combined with the content of the in-depth interview, the author answers "the reasons behind the meaning of playing ’meme’".The study found that in order to combat loneliness, the new generation of only young people present themselves in a weak way and build up a sense of belonging in the group in the process of playing "terrier".In accelerating the squeezing of time and space in the society, the discourse refers to the certainty of reality, and avoids the increasingly strict network censorship through abstract expression. At the same time, the Internet makes the presence of the body no longer important in memory shaping, and the tiny narration of "meme" discourse is no longer covered.Instead,it enters the public’s vision in the form of joking and entertainment, adding new possibilities for discourse democracy. On the reflection of the previous research results, the research believes that the youth playing "terrier" still brings difficulties inside and outside the circle. As the behavior of circle identification boundary,"terrier" makes the circle increasingly separated. This anti-traditional expression swallows the daily expression of contemporary youth, but also gradually removes the seriousness of meaning through entertainment expression and text consumption behavior. At the same time, within the subcultural circle, the internal power hierarchy represented by symbols still exists, and individuals still cannot escape the discipline and the gaze of cyber "the big Other". |
