Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,as a short video APP that can record life at any time,it has quickly become popular among Internet users by virtue of its advantages such as low production threshold, low cost, simple and convenient operation. However,at the same time of development, short video apps will also encounter some problems, such as the decline of users’ enthusiasm for using,or the suspension of use for a period of time.As a branch of discontinuous use,the study of intermittent dropping behavior is of great significance. Therefore,on the basis of consulting relevant research results, this paper obtains relevant theories(information ecology theory, perception overload theory, social media fatigue theory, etc.)through literature review as the basis of this paper, conducts indepth interviews with Douyin users, analyzes and summarizes influencing factor indicators, and then proposes research hypotheses and builds models. The feasibility of the model was verified by questionnaire survey. It is concluded that information overload positively affects the usage fatigue of Douyin users, and information timeliness positively affects the conversion fatigue of Douyin users. In the information technology dimension, system function overload and platform design positively affect user fatigue of Douyin. In the dimension of information environment, the facilitation of sharing mode positively affects the conversion fatigue of Douyin users, while the upward social comparison positively affects the usage fatigue of Douyin users. In the dimension of information person, usage fatigue and conversion fatigue positively affect the intermittent dropping behavior of Douyin users. On this basis, from the perspective of short video platform, this paper puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures to reduce users’ intermittent dropping out behavior.
