The Research On The Self Management Of The Use Of Douyin

The development of media technology and its gradual integration into the practice of everyday life make people highly dependent on technology.The invention of technology has brought great convenience to people.From clothing,food,housing and transportation to daily leisure and entertainment,technology is constantly changing people’s lives and refreshing their cognition.However,with the continuous penetration of technology in people’s lives,more and more users are obsessed with or even addicted to the use of technology,which seriously affects their daily life.As a subject with subjective initiative,it is the starting point of this study whether to realize the harmonious coexistence of human and technology by exerting initiative,avoiding the negative impact of media technology and realizing harmonious coexistence between human and technology.Taking the Douyin platform as an example,this thesis uses questionnaires,in-depth interviews,etc.,combined with domestication theory,to analyze and summarize the platform self-management behavior of Douyin users.Furthermore,this thesis will find out what behaviors users will have when using the platform,and what factors will have an impact on users’ self-management,so as to investigate how to build a harmonious relationship between people and technology.The first chapter of this thesis analyzes the current situation of platform usage of Douyin users.Firstly,the reasons for the popularity of Douyin are summarized.Secondly,according to the results of the questionnaire,this thesis stated the current situation of users’ platform usage.Combined with the interview data,it is clarified that the main motivations of Douyin users are entertainment,social interaction,information acquisition,self-expression,Stress relief and social acceptance.Finally,from the perspective of domestication theory,the three-level coding of the interview data is carried out through the grounded theory,and the three behaviors of Douyin users in the process of using the platform are summarized.The second chapter of this thesis analyzes the dysfunctional behavior of Douyin user platform management.It is summarized that the behavior of user management disorder is mainly manifested as difficult withdrawal from platform use,non-perception of use time and alienation of self-presentation.At the same time,it is analyzed that users’ anxiety about missing external information,stress relief and cognitive bias,and the formation of fragmented habits are the reasons that lead to user management disorders.The third chapter of this thesis summarizes the negative usage behavior of Douyin user platform,which are the intermittent discontinuation behavior and abandonment behavior of the user platform,and analyzes the reasons outside the platform and users themselves in detail.The fourth chapter of this thesis analyzes the characterization and main measures of active restrictive use of the Douyin user platform.It is concluded that the effective management of users’ use of their own platforms is mainly the moderate disconnection of time,the relocation of the Douyin APP location,and the control of self-awareness.The fifth chapter of this thesis returns the research perspective to the relationship between human and technology.Combining Heidegger’s theory of human-technology mutual domestication and Silverstone’s domestication theory and starting from the user and platform side,it is proposed to realize where to start the harmonious coexistence of human and technology.Based on the above research and analysis,this thesis believes that the mutual domestication of human and technology is a dynamic and constantly changing process.In the process of people using media technology,there are two situations: domestication and "reverse domestication" of technology.On the premise of improving self-control,the main body of the technology can also use a variety of methods to domesticate the technology,so as to avoid the reverse domestication of the technology itself.The relationship between people and technology is a pair of interdependent contradictions.This article takes Douyin as an example,hoping to put forward some ideas for exploring how to better realize the harmonious coexistence of people and technology.
