Application Of Data Visualization In Financial News Reporting

With the continuous development of information communication technology,financial news in the traditional text form can no longer meet the needs of the audience,and the reporting form of data visualization is being widely adopted by Chinese and foreign news media.In order to keep up with the trend of the times,the official client of the 21 st Century Business Herald of Southern Finance and Economics Omnimedia Group,"21 Finance ",specially launched the "Digital Reading" column,and set up an operation team in the 21 st Century Economic News Media Center.This column has always emphasized its originality,presenting valuable news to the audience in the form of diagrams,videos,interactive tools and other visualizations.Therefore,this paper explores new forms of financial news reporting from the perspective of data visualization,and combines the data visualization news cases of "21 Finance" to explore the application of data visualization in the field of financial news.Through case studies,content analysis and other research methods,this paper takes the typical data visualization news in the 21 st Century Business Report(hereinafter referred to as "21 Finance")from January to December 2020 as a sample,from its topic selection direction,data sources and Data statistics are carried out from the perspective of content presentation,thinking and exploration of the status quo and use difficulties of data news visualization in my country’s financial media,and attribution.First of all,the classification of 21 financial visualization news is analyzed from the content and purpose of financial news,which is roughly divided into social consumption,investment trend,macro interpretation,company and enterprise,and industry-related categories.Secondly,it conducts static and dynamic research on the manifestations of visualization,analyzes the types,characteristics and usage of visualization in detail,summarizes the dissemination advantages and characteristics of design and production of various types of visualization works,and combines them with Cross-analysis of typical cases and financial news classifications,and the choice of visualization methods for different news topics.Finally,on the basis of the previous analysis,the advantages and disadvantages of visualization in financial reporting are summarized,and optimization strategies are proposed.This paper aims to summarize the application experience and limitations of data visualization in financial news,and propose corresponding development strategies and trends.This paper summarizes and sorts out the specific news cases reported by the digital reading column of "21 Finance",and analyzes the specific sources of news data visualized,the scope of application of news topics and specific news presentation methods,and the innovation of financial news media in the new media era is analyzed.The reporting method has certain reference value.
