Research On The Impact Of Big Data Capability On Thr Financial Performance Of Logistics Companies

How big data capability conduces to optimize resource utilization,competitive advantage,and financial performance is becoming a central question for logistics enterprises.To address this question,this study draws on the resourcebased view and dynamic capabilities view,uses 223 logistics companies’ data,adopts structural equation modelling and analyzes the relationship between the big data capability and the financial performance of logistics enterprises.Furthermore,the mechanism of big data capability on the financial performance of logistics enterprises is explored,and the mediating model of operational strategies and environmental dynamics in the mechanism is further discussed.The research results show:(1)Big data capability has a significant positive effect on logistics enterprises’ financial performance,operation strategy,and environmental motivation.(2)Operational strategies and environmental dynamics facilitate the financial performance,and(3)Operational strategies and environmental dynamics are examined in the impact of big data capabilities on the financial performance of logistics companies,where the full mediation effect is confirmed.The above research results provide new perspectives for understanding the relationship between big data capabilities and financial performance.Depending on this understanding,it provides a new insight for building new mechanisms and enriches existing theories and methods of related research.Besides,this study improves the practical evidence and proposes management recommendations for logistics enterprises to apply big data capabilities in practice.
